A Tale of Two Heads (with apologies to Charles Dickens)

Based on the discussion here, I have thrown away all of our paper coffee filters. Just can't stand to look at them any more. :crook We now use the fine mesh permanant filter. (In the coffee maker). We have a "normal" head in the boat, whatever that is...

We use Melitta cones for our coffee, so there is never any chance of confusion! Actually however I think the paper helps with the composting process.

Pat- If the paper helps with the composting, why not just read the morning rag when on the head and just dispose of it page by page down the Airhead?

That's about how i feel about the "News" these days, anyway!

This thread is getting outa bounds! :smileo

Thanks all for a really good, clear and to the point discussion, for those of us who have something to consider in the future, and knew nothing about the "process" and how these work. Sure like the idea of not dumping into the water.

Thanks for the info. I hauled our boat yesterday for the winter so we'll be replacing the head. Thanks to the information here and after talking with both the guy at Nature's Head and the guy at AIRHead, I'm comfortable that this will be a good move for us. We're gong with the AIRHead since they've been around the longest and I've found more comments on them. I'm sure the Nature's Head works the same.
