Any Ideas On a Good Marina around Seattle that would get some exposure in order to sale a boat around the time of the boat show? I would like to spend some time cruising and or showing my boat thats for sale.

I dont know about marinas that would attract attention but I would advertise here on this site, on craiglist in Seattle , bellingham and Portland. State in your add that you will be available to show the boat by appointment at which ever marina you choose. Then come to the pot luck and have the boat on the trailer maybe?

See if the factory or the factories dealer will let you post a flyer at their booth, never hurts to ask. You could also try and be first to the parking lot in the mornings of the show and have a large for sale flyer posted on a board in the back of the truck. I saw a guy do that for his river sled at the Monroe sports men show a few years back. fast signs will print anything you want on a water proof sign board for fairly cheap. Tap flyers up around the show, what they going to do to you? ask you to stop at most.

We purchased and sold our 08 through Sportcraft. Ryan and his crew down there I can't say enough about. He was more than fair in his dealings with our family. If we stayed in the Northwest his shop would be the first place I would shop/purchase from again. They took the boat, detailed it and showed it for several months and helped make the transition to the new owner easier.
However if you want to do it yourself I'd say the same. This is a speciality boat and more than likely your buyer is going to stop here on their way. :wink

I have purchased two used C-Dorys from Ryan at Sportcraft in Portland and sold one on consignment with Les at EQ marine at Oak Harbor. Although neither is in Seattle proper, they are both consumate professionals and I would not hesitate to buy or sell at either place.

Our 25 just sold on this site and had plenty of interest. I was planning to post a flyer on my back with duct tape at the boat show if it wasn't sold already.

Duff,
I looked for your listing here but didn't see it, I would think this is the absolutely BEST place to list it first, otherwise, I would try to find a dealer in Seattle who sells new C-Dorys. We look here daily and also are constantly monitoring brokers and yachtworld etc.

Good luck!

PS: Craigslist is also great, although we usually don't find the newer more expensive boats on there. We've set up notifications so we don't miss any. And its free!
