Well I personally know that , bigger isn't better!.. Just finished reading an article in the magazine Passage Maker about one of my dream boat. The new Grand Banks 44 EU , well I learned something about this boat that I was not really aware of , is that the older version of the Grand Bank is a pain in the butt to streer in a 8' following sea . Here I was being a little disappointed about the handling of my tub in a 5' folloing sea ( wrong) . Hope the new design 44 ' Grand Bank won't have the same problem , in this article it was the first sea trial but on calm sea . The noise level at wot was apparently way to high they will have to go to drawing board again and fix that at a great cost? Gary SEARAM

Gary,

I've run many times the 32, 36 and 42 GB. I've NEVER found a flat-assed boat that really likes a following sea. Just the way it is . Grand banks is a good boat, but the price makes me thirsty!! Way cool live-aboard though, and many friends take them from here, thru BC, to AK every year and swear by them. Just like this old goat, they check the weather before they leave port. I've got an old navy shipmate who runs from California to WA and back every year. Not my cupa.
