4TH of July

Probably the best fireworks are at Fisherman's Bay on Lopez Island. Lots of anchorages and a long show.
 
The family and I will be at Lopez Islander for the 4th. If you're around, come on by and say, "Hello."
 
We are going to deer harbor on the 3rd for fire works ( assume same as last year) then to fishermans for the 4th. we hope to meet my folks out there. we will be anchored up. Be advice that the friday harbor fireworks, well they suck. for the heart of the san juans I expected more two years ago. Spent most of the show looking over the tree line to fishermans. last year we went to fisherman and it was really great.

if you are goinng to fishermans dont plan on staying on the dock. its book a year in advance and cost more then your boat. Two yacth clubs rent it every year.

I second that Tom. We stayed at the docks of the Islander over Memorial Day Weekend and they've jacked the nightly rate to $40 per night! I don't think we'll be staying there again for awhile. Totally not worth it.
 
Stayed at IMC last year where we had bought the boat. The fire works were great !! The wife wants to try Friday harbor this year but I have a feeling we will be back at IMC in fishermans bay.
 
We've gone to Roche Harbor for years and every year it gets shorter and shorter. A couple of years ago the illegal beach fireworks outdid the main event. I have been told the best thing is to cruise between Friday Harbor and Fisherman's Bay and see them both.
