4 blade props for honda 90's on 25'

I have a 25' C-Dory with twin 90 honda's. Has anyone tried the new 4 blade props? If so how was the performance? Did you buy aluminum or stainless? Thanks for any input.
 
I used alum. 4 blades on my 22 with a 90 and liked it very much. There are a lot of opinions on the subject but I felt that the 4 blade on a single made the boat track better and lift out of the hole flatter. It also provided more bow lift, I know it woulds like two different things but its not. I cant give you advice on which pitch to use with the 25 and twins but I like stainless over alum but the cost is hi. If you can get a prop shop to lend you alum 4 blades to try then you can buy the stainless in the same pitch after you find the right set up.
 
I'm going to suggest you start with 15 inch pitch props for your set up.

Try a pair out, and see what your maximum RPM is at WOT, then go from there.

17" will probably be too much, 13" too little , unless you load very heavily and operate at higher altitudes frequently, in which case the 13's may be better than 15's.

Most props come in 2-inch increments, unless you search quite a bit, in which you might find a set of 14's in 4-blade aluminum, if that's what's really indicated.

Sea Angel has the 15" SS 4 blade props on her 2 HONDA 90s. I have been very satisfied with their performance (which is listed in the album).

I went with these props for their duriability and the low end torque for the close maneuvering needed while docking at my marina to back into the finger piers (for the fork lift retrieval to the dry storage).

Since there aren't any 90hp OBs that have CCW rotation, I feel that I wanted as much torques as I could get. Any trim issues are easily corrected and accounted for. The WOT RPM is abt 5450 with a heavy load of full fuel, water and a lot of stuff that should be in the boat box at home.

I check the props each time I am at the marina and have yet to see any burn action or physical impact measures on them. They still look 'pretty'.

I put a 4 blade on my Honda 50 on my 16 and wish I had it 3 years ago. Grabbed the water way better with no ventilation problems. Lost 1.5 -2 mph and raised the rpm's about 200 to 5900 max. I won't go back to a 3 though.
