22ft Cruiser Solar Panel to fit the angled roof area 13&quot

Anyone installed a Solar Panel on the angled section of the roof.

I want to place 2 solar panels one on each side of the roof angled area that are ~13"x72" flat, becaue it's the only area free on my roof when the toys are load on....

Anyone know were I can get a solar panel that is ~13"x72" ~80+watts in size??

HERE are lots of choices in different output ratings. Didn't see any 80W panels that narrow. I suspect you may have to put a couple of smaller ones together.

I see in your first picture that you have a home marine test tank for your boat as well. :wink
 
When you mount the panels, they must be in full sun. Any shadow, even a line shadow like the ones shown from the rack will cut the output a lot.
 
Just out of interest, how did you attach the risers for your roof rack to the hand holds on the roof?
 
After looking at your boat, I might consider another aproach. That is to put two grap rails on each side of the boat outward. The way the boat is set up currently, I think it would be hard to grab the rails and go forward.

The new rails, can be each 2 feet long--and then put clamp on articlating mounts for the solar panels. This allows you to get them off the roof, and above the shadow, plus tilt to get the best sun during the day. This would also allow you to use 20" pannels.

Defender is a good source for marine solar panels--I would be reluctant to use "household" grade around the salt water environment. Good solar pannels, and controler etc are not cheap. But to get serious amounts of power you will have to spend a fair amount.
