Power;
I subscribe to the philosophy of the original builders, keep it lite. Look at the photos, it's a stock boat with out hardly anything added to it, bottom waxed, no fouling paint. With just me and lite fuel it did 31 mph. If you and me with half tanks, it will do 28-29.
I cruise at 12 to 20mph, so I find the 70 more then adequate. I enjoy the fuel economy to.
The out board has been well cared for. I Do all my own work, never been to a shop, and photo document my work. I installed the outboard, you can see those photos in my album. Change out water pump and turned off the head of one of the 4 pump bolts. Drill and easyout stud, apply antisize to new bolts and have two factory spair bolts on board. I purchased the special tools to do the cam belt replacement. Pulled the fuel tanks to clean, inspect, and replace every fuel hose on the boat. I drilled oversize and epoxie filled the screw holes that go into the cored floor, and the transom mount for the depth sounder long time ago.
