22 cdory swim platform

I am in the process of purchasing 22 cruiser. Can anyone tell me option price for the swim Platform. boat has platform but i am getting twins and need info for negotiation.Thanks
 
I just paid $460 for mine, installed. I have a single 90HP E-TEC, and was of the opinion that you couldn't get the "factory" swim step with twins.

But, I have been wrong many times before...now shouldn't be any different. :D
 
Goldpan, look at the pictures in my photo album ("Sea Shift") and you will find pictures of a swim step that Les at EQ Marine, fabricated and installed on "Sea Shift"....a 22' with twins.
 
appr. 2 years ago Cutter Marine installed 2 factory swim platforms on Soapy Joe and they charged me $460 each installed as well. First class material as well as installation, love them.
 
I purchased the Comfy Dory from it's previous owner without a swim deck on it. I bought one from West Marine for $129 plus tax and installed it myself...about an hour's work. The Comfy Dory has a single Honda 75 and I had plenty of extra room for the engine to swivel, but I don't know if it can be mounted with enough clearance with twins on the transom. I mounted it on the port side of the transom and it has two mounting braces on the bottom and a single top brace mount on the left side of the deck completely out of the way for engine swing. It has a hinged step that swings up and onto the deck for traveling. An additional step can be added to the model that we bought. We love it as it is where we sit when using the Solar shower bag hanging from an extended boat hook we put into a rod holder mounted on the angled side of the engine well.

I tried using a stern ladder just to see if a swim step was an option that I wanted..... and found that once you were up on the step, you still had to climb over a whole lot of transom before you got into the boat.... easy for kids but for us AARP folks it didn't work so well....

Roger King designed a bracket for Fishtails (now salvaged) and will be used on C-Hawk that is just the perfect item.... it allows a divers ladder to be attached to the side of the boat just by using a fishing pole mount.....I was so impressed that I had one made identical.... makes it easy to get out of the water and into the boat... He has pictures in his "photos" of Fishtails...I have pictures in my "photo's" Too

Interesting -- what keeps the bracket from rocking side to side?
 
I haven't had any trouble with the ladder "rocking side to side". If you were in a strong current, there may be some movement.
After suiting up, I sit on the gunnel and backflip in to the water on the side opposite from the ladder.
When I come up from a dive, I clip a line to my BC then remove the BC. I sit (straddle) on the ladder to remove my fins, toss them into the boat and climb in. Once in the boat, I pull the BC in with the tanks.
When not in use, I store the mount under foot at the helm.

The dive ladder is attached to the "Roger King Special Bracket" with two mounting studs.... making it easy to attach and remove, and they lock it in place firmly.... there is no side to side movement... it's a awsome ladder..
I have used it in rapid water without any problems...removes in seconds and stores easily.
