2026 Friday Harbor C-Brats Get-Together

We look forward to seeing Classea Lady and Salty-C at the gathering. Look for a direct message to get the slip discount code. Jeff and Dianne, got you on the Lingcod class that Tom will be teaching on. That looks to be a great class! See you all and everyone soon. :)

....real quick, I am sure everyone planning to attend this gathering is madly packing their boat and getting things ready for travel. Don't forget to pack your nautical books that you have read this last winter and are willing to share with others on Saturday. It is always fun to browse these nautical books and publications at the book exchange table. Books that are not taken will be given to the 'free shack' on the public dock to be enjoyed by the public or you can take them back with you. Thanks. Gary and Colleen

My family plans to attend this year but I have had really bad migraines for days now and we are going to bring the boat up. If I'm feeling better tomorrow I might walk onto the ferry and come by to talk and look at everyone's boats.
I hope it's a fun time out there this year.

Anna and I got delayed a day but will be there mid-day tomorrow. Looking forward to it

In remembrance:
AST2 Tyler Jaggers joined the US Coast Guard in 2022. He completed the rigorous Aviation Survival Technician training after boot camp and was stationed in Astoria, OR.

On Feb. 27, 2026 he sustained injuries during a medevac ~130NM west of Cape Flattery, WA. He succumbed to his injuries on March 5. His passing marks the first time in 42 years that an AST has died in a non-crash mishap.

At his April 7th memorial service attended by over 1000 people, Cassandra Weaver, Tyler Jaggers’ fiancée said, “The world will remember him as an American hero. But to me, and to his family, he was so much more than Rescue Swimmer #1087. Tyler was a loving son, a protective brother, a loyal friend, a brother among swimmers, a dog's best friend, and to me, he was everything.”

This evening at the potluck, I propose a toast to Tyler for donning the fabric of the Nation and his ultimate sacrifice. His demonstrated Honor, Respect & Devotion to Duty; the timeless Coast Guard Values, are in keeping with highest traditions of the Unites States Coast Guard.

Bravo Zulu Tyler, rest in peace brother.

Thanks everyone! Especially Neptune for the Blessing of Salish-C.

We left a power adapter at our slip, H57. If any of the Bellingham crew are still around ((Seabold, Sea Bean), maybe one of you could bring it back?

Cheers! See you guys around 😃

Jeff and Dianne have it in their possession. Can we mail it to you?

This was another very successful gathering at Friday Harbor this year. We had 37 boats in attendance, including 41 groups of people of which two didn’t bring their boat and two others were actively looking to purchase a C-Dory.
This year 32 folks went on a bus tour of San Juan Island and then many of us went out for the annual walk to town for dinner out.
Saturday was busy with auxiliary, Coast Guard vessel, inspections, Tom and Susan‘s lingcod fishing class, the afternoon book exchange and the evening potluck dinner. After dinner Patrick performed two vessel christenings ceremonies.

Much thanks to Michael and Alona and Julie from the C-Dory factory (Northwest Marine Industries) with support in renting the party barge, BBQ of ribeye steaks and providing swag and C-Dory Tee-shirts for the group. Much thanks to everyone who attended because this is what makes this gathering a true success every year. We look forward to seeing everyone again at next years gathering which will be on May, 13-16, 2027.
