I started my search about 4 years ago for a CD22, but ran across this Cape Cruiser 23 and absolutely love it. The extra 1’ makes all the difference in the cockpit and the enclosed splash well makes it feel more safe and secure (especially with little ones). The extra 4" of beam make the gunwales a bit larger to help in walking up to the bow.

You’re probably already familiar with a Cape Cruiser Venture 23 vs. a C-Dory Venture 23 (vs. a C-Dory 22), but if not, I encourage you to look over the threads on this site. The CD and CC 23s are essentially the same boat, just different badges. The deeper V Hull and more dead rise on the 23s (in conjunction with the trim tabs) allow for a smoother, and slightly faster ride in chop.

The ONLY reason I’m parting with my boat is because of an unexpected Military move overseas. I’ve actually enquired about having her shipped across the Atlantic, but they won’t allow it! The only thing I can do now is sell her to someone who shares the same affinity for these kinds of boats.
