Pat,
I agree with the name tags as there will be folks there that we've never met "in person". It would be nice to have them include the vessel name.

Going through this discussion (dang - it's a long one), I find several folks have said for sure they will be at the CBC at the Hilton Saturday evening/night, January 17, 2004, for all or part of the festivities, and with all or part of their families. Several other people have dropped little hints as to their intentions, but only the names on the list have ordered the dreaded nametags (which I ain't wearin'!). A few others have said they hope to be at the SBS but cannot make the CBC.

While the discussion is a long one, the list is relatively short. Please let us know if we will be seeing you there.
 
OK, e-tickets and parking pass all purchased and printed out. I just tried to make a C-Brats Special reservation at Larkspur Landing, and was told by Carmen they do NOT have a "negotiated rate" for us now. The rate would be $99. Not bad but not $49, either. Did I wait too long or did something else happen? We will be there, but drive home (we live no more than half an hour away anyway...) :cry:
 
Jon and Cynthia (C-Lou) will be at the show Saturday morning and stay at the Larkspur that night.

Pat, I made our reservations tonight around 6:00 pm and got the $49 rate with Danielle. After reading your post I called back to make sure that it was the $49 rate and she said it was. She also said they're still honoring that $49 rate. I don't know whats going on but maybe another phone call will save you a few bucks.

It appears that not everybody on the desk at the Larkspur has the word on the special C-Brat's rate, so if anyone gets a HUH?, ask them to check with Danielle, because it's there.
 
Thank you, Mark, for the info. Elizabeth came real close to having to wear a name tag. It will be nice for you to have your wife along this year. Maybe you won't run off down a different street this time!

Well...hate to say it, but Dana and I are going to bail. Simple truth is, it's just too dang much money to spend on airfare, car rental and lodging, particularly when I've got a new boat on the way.

Don't take this the wrong way - y'all are definitely worth it, but we'll be up there for an extended stay in another month or so.

I've got Pat's collage file - I'll print and mail it out on Monday, so it should be there in time for the show.

I'm not a name tag kind of guy Mike and I don't think either one of us could run fast enough to tag Elizabeth. Yeah, I'll try not to get lost again.

Bummer, BILL, that you and Dana won't be at the SBS/CBC. I can understand it though, having to come up in just a short while to test hop, and pick up the new Da Nag. I am going to be down there for a week and will be checking out progress on "Da Nag" at E Q Marine. Will even take a few pics if Les hasn't got it under quarrantine.
