2004 Seattle Boat Show and C-Brat Convention

Dang ,Brooks wish you could make the SBS!!! But Am sure Portland BS will be fun. Sportcraft will be the C-Dory Flag there I imagine,so be prepared to do some testimonials if you hang around and talk with them. Have fun no matter what though.
 
OOPS!
Just wanted to give all what little update on C-Dory helping us out with the CBC.
I called Jill at C-Dory and she said she had talked to Scot about it and he hasn't made a decision yet, and had been really busy apparently. She said she would put the info she got from Amanda at the Hilton in his box, and corner him when she sees him next. She realizes as I do that time is getting short.
About 20 minuteas after I called her ,Amanda called me and asked if I had heard form C-Dory.told her that I had just talked to Jill. I told her we know she has deadlines on this so we hope Scot will make a decision real soon. So if any of you has Scot's ear, prod him a little ok?
 
Durn, won't be able to attend the big SBSC-DBS gathering...I'll have to make do with the PBS. Maybe I'll run into some C-Bratters there this weekend. BTW .. I heard an advertisement on the radio for Sundance Marine's boat show, they said it was free and they where giving away free passes to the SBS.

Your absence from the show will surely be noticed. we are sorry that you will not be coming up this way this year, we were looking forward to being able to visit with you two.
we will definately have a cold :beer for ya tho....lol....

Hey Roger, have two cold ones...and see if you can get Mike to buy :) I was sure looking forward to the SBS but some confounded family thing at Depot Bay was already on the books. SBS..hate to miss the fun.
 
Aw shucks, B~C. Just when I was starting to miss you, ya gotta pull this crap! Well, I guess family is important.
 
Well, what's up with that? Doesn't Scot know who has been buttering his bread? :? And, what is the address of the Hilton and what time does the CBC start? Are we doing it even if the C-Dory folks don't underwrite? Alterrnate plans? We were thinking of coming to the SBS in the afternoon, and then migrating to the Hilton at whatever time folks were going to gather there...Anyway, thanks for your work here, Jim!

I'm not sure what Scot's actual view of us is, but you would think that we are an asset for sure. That is my 2 cents.
One way or the other we will have a get together.

As for the Hilton-Larkspurs hotels they are Located at about 1800 East Valley, In Renton, you can see them fron 167,as you come south on your right side at just about the intersection, of 167& 405. Take the first exit on 167, go right, head back north.
As for the CBC , kinda thought it would kick off about 7 at latest. Depends on when folks get out of the SBS and migrate back to the Hilton.
We plan to make weekend out of it. Come up Friday, do the SBS, check in to the hotel, stay Friday and Saturday night. Meet and greet all the C-Brats coming in.

Who is going to be at the SBSCBC Saturday evening/night, Jan 17?
 
Kay and Mike of the TyBoo will be there. Plan to get to the SBS sometime Saturday morning, and stay at the Larkspur Saturday night. Heading home when we wake up on Sunday.
 
Pat and Patty will be coming to the SBS some time Saturday afternoon, migrate on over to the Larkspur / Hilton CBC when other folks start heading that way...P.S. - is your post a vote for a sign-up sheet? :wink:

We will be at the show on Saturday morning and hope to see some of you there. Unfortunately we have other commitments in the afternoon/evening and can not make the party (again).

I just talked to the guy at Scan Marine, and I think I might see if I can trouble you to deliver my stove to them rather than pick it up on Friday the 16th. He said it was highly unlikely they would get to it before then, even if they got it today. He also said it takes some fancy packing to ship it. Something about bubble wrap, putting it in a box at an angle, then wrapping the box and putting it into the biggest box U-Haul sells, with more bubble wrap. He says the most frquent shipping issue is busted ceramic. So, I told him they could pack the thing for return shipment.

Here is the info on the CBC.

C-Dory is providing the Convention Room,Food, and a Hosted Bar(we pay for drinks). From 6pm-12am.
Food will be a Veggie Tray, Fruit Tray,Cheese and Cracker Tray. Swedish meatballs, Chicken Strips.

Confirmed this with Jill, they have informed the Hilton this is a go!!

Well peep. Just wanted everyone to know we tried! :( Old Bellingham-Bob, was just not too enthusiastic for making it with us to the SBS this time-round. I looked at "specials" on the web, and it was all a bunch of crap! the cheapest fair was 300.50 Seattle (rt) and advertised for 59 one way! errrrrr :amgry
Well Mom, Karen and I will be with ya'll there---in spirit! A big thanks to those Brats that were willing to put us up, if we showed.
