Sorry to see this. Hopefully, you'll keep TACO.

Taco ain't going anywhere - she actually gets used. If she were RED, she'd be perfect. 8)

OK I am right across the water from you in Victoria. I am a serious buyer.

Judging by comments on the site you are well know. I am new. Mr Baker has a nice boat in Denver that is 4 years newer sitting under cover for who knows how long. A trip to Colorado this time of year would be nice lol.

What does Da Nag have over the boat from Denver or Arizona? You can PM me if you don't want to sell another boat short.

We have nearly completed the restoration on a 1993 22 Cruiser. We are at $38,000 plus into it at this point. It will never EVER be a beauty queen. So, we can tell you that the DA NAG, a 2004 C-Dory is just like new and well worth the asking price. Had we known six months ago that Bill and Dana's boat was going to be on the market, we would have held off on the purchase of our current boat and happily have paid them the full asking price.

She's RED.

Seriously though, based on the ads - those both look like nice boats at decent prices. If the hours, condition and options are acceptable to you and you have some way of trusting/verifying such things from afar - by all means, enjoy the drive!

HAHA it is actually the red I am having to come to grips with. I have never been into red boats. I own a Red Harley however. It does come down to additions and care. I am sure there is not much difference in a 04 hull verses an 08 hull if the 04 has been looked after. So an older boat for the same price comes down to equipment. I will study your inventory more thoroughly.

Whichever boat you buy be sure to get a good test drive. If you haven't experienced a C-Dory first hand you may find somethings that are different from other boats. For instance you may find you don't really like driving from inside all the time, then again in the PNW, you might be looking forward to it.

A test drive also will make sure the boat you get works well. The C-Dory I bought ended up having engine issues that had to be fixed. It took about 4 months (granted it was winter) for Honda to fix the motor under warranty even though there was a service bulletin out for my engine that described the exact problem I was having and what to do about it.

Also, check out the trailer as thoroughly as you check out the boat.

P.S. When we were looking at boats, my wife told me get any C-Dory I thought was best so long as it wasn't RED.

If it were me and I felt like that, I wouldn't buy Da Nag. She's definitely red! I hunted and hunted for a red one (very few were made and it's my favorite C-Dory color), but alas, never found one. There is one C-Dory color I'm not really fond of, and wouldn't you know, a half dozen fantastic (and well-equipped) 22's of that color came up when I was shopping (natch). I was tempted to "learn to like" it, but came to my senses and kept on looking. I found one in a color I like. Not red :cry, but most of the colors are not as hard to find as red is.

Good thing Da Nag wasn't for sale when I was looking, as Ruth and Joe are local and would have beat me to it

Like the boat a lot and I am in the market. I like red! Any pics of the interior I can easily find? I've been waiting a long time for that special boat here in the Midwest (I am in N MI). That distance out west is the roadblock. Just out of curiosity, anyone have an idea of shipping from WA to MI?

Hi folks,

As I somewhat expected, the first person to see Da Nag wanted her. A tentative deal has been struck - deposit in hand, subject to sea trial and survey this coming weekend.

I'll update this thread and close it once funds and boat have been transferred. Until then, if anyone else is interested - feel free to PM me with your contact details, and I'll advise if things don't work out.

And, while a little late...here are the interior pics.

My bright Fire Engine Red C-Dory and DaNag's were "stable mates" at the same time at EQ Marine when they were both being outfitted. Both of them were built at the old, old, old factory before the production line process at the next in line factory. Whoever succeeds in purchasing DaNag is one very fortunate individual!
