1989 22 C-Dory, will a 90 hp + a 9.9 hp Honda's fit ?

I am having to repower and want a 90 hp + a 9.9 hp Honda's and the dealer says it will be very tight.

Does anybody have this setup on a 89 22' cruiser ?

yes a honda 90 and a 9 will fit. I had a 90 and nissan 8 or 9.9 on my 22. Take a look at the other photo albums and you will see that a lot of people have this combo or something like it.

My 22 has a Yamaha 80 and a Honda 8D, and they seem to fit fine. I believe the Honda 8D and 9.9 are the same physical size, and I don't see where my Yamaha is any smaller than a typical 90. I happen to have the swim platform to port and the kicker to starboard. I don't know of anything different on the 1989 transom, since it is the "new style," post-1986 Cruiser.

we have a 2004 merc 90, with a merc 9.9 to port and swim step to starboard, all on an '88 22 cruiser. :)

Yes a Honda 90 fits with Honda 9.9. I think 87 is the start of the new transom style and they have not changed in the 22' that I know of. Mine is a 98 and I have a photo or two in my album.
