It took me over a year to find this 22' C Dory as my entry boat into the C Dory world. These Classics are rare! However, now I have an unexpected opportunity to upgrade so I am selling my "Popeye". This does not only look like a "popeye" boat--it is the "Popeye"! It was built by the reputable Marben Marine and is one safe and solid vessel. (the fiberglass is 3/8" thick where I installed a thru-hull fitting for the bilge pump! I also just epoxied the bolts for the kicker bracket and all the balsa was like new) I have used Popeye to fish and to cross to the Gulf Islands (20 NM) and back many times.

For those of you who are just learning about the earlier classics there are many articles on this site including the following:

This Classic comes with:
Lowrance depth sounder
Apleco VHF- excellent reception
Brand new Shakespeare anntena
Brand new permatrim
Brand new bilge pump
Porta potty
Big cooler
Downrigger
Life jackets
Danforth anchor and anchor roller

Powered by early 80s 70 hp Johnson
(Motor note: I have never owned such a smooth idling and running 2 stroke as you can see from the youtube video. I personally used the main motor to get me there and the kicker to troll and leisurely cruise with. This was a good system. The boat is on plane at 10 knots and cruises at 15-16 knots.Max speed is around 20 knots or 22 MPH)

- My Kicker is NOT included. It will fit on my new one--

Trailer is a 1994 Ez Loader tandem axle in excellent shape! No rust- stored in a barn. I just upgraded to this trailer for selling the boat and mounted a brand new surge master cylinder on it.

(Trailer Note: $1500 reduction on price if you don't need the trailer. I can use it on my next C Dory.)

This boat would be a great starter boat for someone. The gel coat has a few scratches but is generally good. This was my first C Dory and now it can be yours! Please feel free to post any questions you may have.

Legal note: This vessel is not being sold in the US but in Canada. Viewings and sea trials are in White Rock B.C.

Oooh, I wish I was ready to pull the trigger again.

Just to let you know I received a deposit last night on Popeye

Looks like its going to go thru to a couple who want to be C Brats up on Quadra Island BC!

I knew it wouldn't last long. Congrats on your pending sale!

Too good a buy to last long, even though we are not in the market, this would be really cool to own! And a bargain basement price!

beautiful boat. is that gelcoat new? it really shines nicely!

Thanks Dustin

Just lots of wax!

Keeping it waxed helps me clean that ocean crud off when I wash it. Makes my job easier!

Did this boat sell? I have a friend who may be interested.
