I saw this boat at a local canvas shop a couple weeks ago and the owner wants to put it up for sale here but is having trouble with the registration process. He emailed me the info so I could post it for him. I have no connection with this boat but would be happy to check it out in detail for any out of area buyers.

Looks like the satellite dish would add a huge amount of windage. Also the dish would need a gyro so that you could have constant clear reception, regardless of your direction or sea state.

Looks well cared for from road. Wife told me there was a dory for sale diwn the road from us, so we did a drive buy yesterday..

That is a nice price for a 22. JakeB what are you doing looking already? We need to get you out on the water in yours and do some wake crossing.

Never hurts (too much) to do some looking though, right?

Have a good time,

Rick - I am very interested in this boat, but given the age, was wondering if you have some tips of things to look or in older C Dorys?

hahah no I am not looking, more than happy with my boat. speaking of witch saw you pulling out of John Wayne sunday night. the wife and I were eating at dockside, but we were in the middle of entree and seeing it was out anniversary didn't want to excuse myself. and you were gone by the time we went doc walking... nice looking set up you have though..

Sorry for the late reply, Dave, I haven't looked at this post in a while. Here's a good thread in general:

I think the biggest thing is to get a feel for how the boat was cared for. Also, look at deck hardware to see if water could be penetrating into the balsa core. Same with transom hardware. Have a good look at the bottom of the hull for damage or repairs. Other than that, there's not too much to really go wrong. These are simple boats.

If this boat still looks this good, I would be very interested in seeing it and making an offer. I am a little concerned about some of the work done on this boat, but still very interested. If this boat is still for sale ..please ley me know. Thank you
