It is mostly what you can find, and what you use it for. I've done everything with my 19 that a 22angler or cruiser does. Mostly launch and fish alone (easily) but also take up to three grown men on fishing trips. It does get crowded fishing with more than two (there are only two side to a boat?). I Cross and recross to Vancouver island and Trail BC without any problems.
All that said...when I got my first motorcycle I immediately wanted a bigger one, when I got my first RV-same, and I'd love a bigger boat too...but it all comes down to what you can find, and there are more 22's than anything. They are all great boats.
Good luck.

Terel;
There are minimal problems bringing a C-Dory into Canada from the USA. A legal bill of sale, some forms to fill out and GST to be paid. Canada customs is most concerned with the trailer and it's road worthiness. You will need a letter from the trailer manufacturer indicating there are no current recalls on the trailer. Also once you get your unit into Canada you will have to have the trailer inspected.
Good Luck!

Wapiti is correct..there is no problem bringing a boat into Canada from the Usa....just make sure that the seller has proof of ownership..( clear title with no loans on the boat or trailer ). On the bill of sale have separate prices for the boat, motor , trailer and any other equipment that is not attached to the boat. Call the Canadian Border and ask how they want the bill of sale made out.If the trailer is so many years old..i forget which it needs a trailer check to see if it's road worthy. ( you get that done at Canadian tire before you can register the trailer in your name.) Also your have to call the trailer manufacturer to see if there are any recalls on that particular trailer..the manufacturer will e-mail a confirmation letter saying if there is or not..when i called ez-loader he emailed me a letter as i was talking to him on the phone.You also have to call Transport Canada to register an imported trailer and than they will mail to a letter or something i forget..Really is a breeze as long as you have all the paperwork done and one other thing thing...you do not have to inform or stop at the Usa customs before you enter Canada with the boat or trailer .Tug
