19 Angler Towing Q

Hi folks, I just replaced my Tomcat with a 19 Angler. A few questions about towing (I have hired someone to tow my newly acquired boat from WI to NC): can the canvas cabin wall with the door be left installed to protect everything inside? Also, it looks like the boat sits high enough on the trailer such that I don’t need to raise and block it. Any thoughts?? Suggestions?? Thanks! -Dennis

I tow my Angler everywhere with the rear curtain on.

I lowered the boat on the trailer so it launches easier. The main motor is tilted up with a M-Y universal wedge to give it more clearance.

Thanks, I was hoping this was the case as the boat has to be towed about 1000 miles this week. As there is no door on the cabin I was afraid to stow anything loose in there if the rear curtain wasn't in place. I'd also have to remove the door curtain.

I'm assuming that the flap of material that hides the fuel tanks can be left in place also?

I also ordered a "wedge" block and I like the idea of adjusting the bunks so the boat is as low as possible.

Thanks! -Dennis

I don't have a canvas curtain for the fuel tanks.

My rear curtain utilizes the DOT twist locks, not snaps. The twist locks stay fastened. I think the main cabin shape sheds a lot of the wind coming over the bow and windows.
