One of the main reasons I sought out the 19 angler instead of the 22 is because I wanted to keep it in the garage still. I'm happy to report that I have had success this week!
The boat is on an EZ Loader 3-EZR 19/22-24 3700, which I'm told is the most stout single-axle trailer EZ Loader ever built. That turned out to be really important, because it's a 3x5" frame. The swing tongue hinge from Fulton for 3x5 tongues is rated based on overall rig weight, with the lowest weight rating being 5000 (and my rig is about 3100, so well under that). At that lowest weight, you are allowed to break off 48" of tongue with the hinge, which is exactly the maximum I could get out of the tongue based on where the booms are bolted to it.
I was still about 14 inches too long, but the rear rollers were set all the way to the rear of the trailer also (as was the winch stand). EZ Loader advised me that I could move that rear cross member/rollers up to 18" forward, but probably not much more. There were additional holes in the booms at 12" and 25", so I had to drill a new set that was 18" forward of the old ones. I used cold galvanized spray on all the new holes and cuts, by the way.
I also had to relocate safety chains behind the hinge (they are REALLY long now) and had to replumb the brake line with a flexible version, also readily available from EZ Loader. Bub in Spokane was absolutely a STAR with all of his very detailed directions on everything!
In the end, as measured, I have two inches in front of the boat, and two inches behind the boat. The spotlight clears my garage by several inches, and my overhead shelves clear the cabin with no problem. It's like the boat was meant to be in this particular garage! I was beside myself to see it actually go in there, after a lot of hard work and worry about whether I had mis-measured.

I'm going to get one of those trailer dollies for long term use. Also thinking about putting in a parking chock behind the trailer wheels, to make it impossible to "remodel" the back of the garage.
