16 footer get together

OK then! Sunday the 21st at 11 at Coulon! We are really looking forward to this!

So Saturday we'll see if we can take the cover off Crabby Lou, sweep out whatever crawled in and died, charge the battery and try to start the trusty old Johnson 40!

May have son Austin with me instead of Patty or mayhaps both, we shall see!

Have not been out on the water since we left Lake Powell...would have usually done a few overnighters at Andrews Bay over the winter but Daydream has been kind of disassembled inside, and schedule and semi-decent weather have not meshed too well for us this past winter.

Good luck Pat. We're all pulling for you! We did a trial run last Sunday and all seems well. There were plenty of open slips, the water was as calm as can be and the "little loop" around Mercer Island was frought with no impediments whatsoever. Chromer and his Checkpoint II was chasing fish away from the north side of the I-90 bridge. For those coming down the lake on the water, Coulon Park is just to the left of the Boeing 737 plant at the south end of the lake. There are some new apartments between the park and the plant. If you're driving down, get off I-405 at Sunset Blvd and head west (down the hill) At the bottom of the hill turn right, into the park. I pick up Lizzie at the school bus on Wednesday, Garbage Day on Thursday, eye doctor at the VA on Friday, 16 footer GT on Sunday. Whoo hoo, I'm busy!

Actually Jack, I think it's a photo of some rear admiral's plane (note the two stars by the cockpit window) off to make an inspection or a whiskey run. Hope you are coming to our gettogether. MartyP

Sounds like fun, but it's a long way from home and that's my haul-out weekend, I'll be scraping various critters off of the other bottom. :sad

Jack :smiled

Hey, gang, the weather looks like it might be nice. Mid-50's would surely put smiles on skippers and prows as our tiny tots are unleashed on their great big, grown-up adventure.
:star
P.S. Thanks, Sensei, and my best to you.

Brother Brock and "crews".... This looks to be a great time in the making. May great weather be there for you. What a great photo it would make with a V-formation of 16s taking over a marina...

Best to you all and I will be there in spirit.

So who is arranging the aerial photography? in the old days, Jeff would have chartered a helicopter and hired Neil Rabinowitz, now, lucky if there will be somebody on the East Channel Bridge with an Instamatic...

Not going to be able to make it. Potential buyer from Idaho coming by sunday to look at the Sue-C. We will see where this goes.

Sorry you can't make it Lloyds. I hope the outstanding weather we're supposed to be getting tomorrow (upper 60') holds up through Sunday morning but the forecast says at least 10 degrees cooler :( .

Oh well, it still should be lots of fun and I'm really looking forward to it. Plus it's only a 10 minute boat ride from the launch that's only a mile away from me! Pretty cool, huh? :smile

Boy would I love to be able to be a fly on the piling, with my camera, as you all show up.

Harvey- You mean you're gonna miss the meeting of the burgee design committee? How about the special subcommittee on mooring cover and macerator design and storage? How about the workshop on "sponsoons, what they are and why we don't need them" and our guest speaker's lecture "Passive Aggresion, the only tool required for a 16 footer owner". We will miss you. 8)

'Mornin, guys. Like you folks, I've been watching the weather forecast for several days. Tomorrow doesn't look like today, and cats don't like rain. It messes with our (gel)coats; makes us cranky.

I've decided to opt out of this gig. It's weenie of me, I know, but I wish for those who show a fabulous cruise together. And Marty, thanks a bunch for putting this rendezvous together.

And don't forget - special guest speaker Dr. Phil who's talk is entitled "Size doesn't matter, it how you use it."

The Windex Memorial Seminar, "Mutlitasking; window cleaning, showering, and cabin cleaning in a confined space" has been scrubbed. All other events will take place as scheduled.

Yes, exceptionally weenie of you! Oh, well...maybe next time! We'll be there because a little rain, which may or may not happen, is no big deal!

Pat,

You had me scared for a minute there when I saw you posted something. I'm glad to see it was only commenting on what I was thinking about Brock whimping out.

Just kidding Brock ;-)

Se y'all in the morning!!

Peter

The Mercer Island half marathon and 10k is this morning. They plan to park some cars at the MI boat ramp. Should be back to normal around noon
