Is there a 12v outlet, like a cigarette lighter, in the C Dory? I haven't had a use for one until now and haven't looked.

There is one on mine, which is also a 2005. If your boat does not have one, you can pick one up and install easily...
 
On our 2006 the 12V outlet is on the far lower right of the instrument/circuit breaker panel down at knee height. it is covered with a flip up rubber cap.
 
Depending on when it was built, the 12V outlet was either standard or an option. I think one was standard and a second one was an option I paid extra for. They are extremely easy to install on your own and in my case, I wish I had put the 2nd one in myself as it was installed to close to the first one for my liking.

Just a reminder....

If you install it yourself, but sure to fuse it properly for the loads you expect, use the appropriate gauge wire, and tie into a buss that can properly handle the load.

You had the boat show model in 2005. Ours was the next built and we have a 12v outlet to the right of the steering wheel. Yours should be there as well.
 
My 2005 26' ProAngler has one in the same place as you all described. Must have been standard on all 2005 models.

Has anyone found a 12v outlet for the back deck that does not turn into a big mungy green thing in 2 days.?? WE have two electric reels and that is a big problem with them.
 
I recently installed two 12v plugs on "Katmai."

I'd been thinking about where to put them for a while, and was tired of using the 'splitters in the only available 12v socket by the helm. After giving some thought to my intended used (laptop, XM radio, fan, chargers for cellphone, etc) I decided to mount them in the cockpit bulkhead near each battery. Each socket is fused, and in that location the wiring to the battery was a breeze.

As for the "big green mungy thing," we're currently in AZ ... and there is no Arizona word for "Mungy!" ...but 104 degrees today, and 109 tomorrow (we're at 3500' MSL!!) makes me want to return North!
