If you are interested in attending this event, please reserve the following 2013 date on your calendar for an upcoming California C-Dory Gathering:

11th Annual Delta/Bay Extravaganza
Wednesday, May 8, 2013 to Sunday, May 12, 2013

More information will be forthcoming. This is a save the date "post-card" reminder. Hopefully, a sign-up event sheet can be created for this gathering. For now, please indicate on this thread if you are going and signing up.

Please do not sign up unless you can commit to the entire event. You might look at the last 10 years of threads if you want to get some idea of what this gathering is like.

There is a ten (10) boat maximum for this event because of duck club and marina space limitations. The first ten boats signed up will be able to go.

Right now two boats are already signed up, namely Dinner Belle II and Pounder. There are eight spaces left!

This is arguably the oldest most long lived event of all C-Dory gatherings. If you make the commitment to go you will likey enjoy the journey. There are many repeat folks at this event.

Jim does an amazing job of putting this event together in such a seamless way that you can't help but to have a great, one of a kind experience... Sign us up! :D
We just blocked off our respective work schedules for fun on the boat... gosh I love doing that! I might have to drag out my brewing equipment and prepare an appropriate :beer to bring along.
I know many of you have not had an opportunity to experience this event. I encourage those who can, do so. We were last years Newbies and everyone made us feel right at home. Hope to see some old friends and make some new ones. John and Laurie
 
That is great John and Steve! We now have four vessels signed up and likely a fifth vessel, the Duck Club's new caretaker who has a 22 foot C-Dory may also be coming along!

Please sign up early for this trip so you are not disappointed later. There may only be five (5) spots left.

I would like to sign up for the "Extravaganza", Jim.

I use my 22 ft. C-Dory Angler to take pictures of Bay dinghy and small keel boat regattas and to fish with a fishing club called "The Jolly Hookers" which is a part of the Sons In Retirement organization in Northern California.

I hope there is still room for me and if so I am looking forward to meeting some of the local C-Dory owners.

Welcome aboard. It will be great to have a new face. You are likely boat number 6.

Your bay sailing background is interesting. We try to sail once a month on the bay in a Dehler 34 (german racer/cruiser). Last time we were out a few weeks ago we actually got a spinnaker up!

There are four (4) spots left for this years extravaganza. Don't miss out.

Oh man-- we would love to go-- it would be great to cruise with the new engines-- but we already signed up for camping at a friends ranch that week.
 
There ya go Roger...wimping out again...you are never going to break in those new putters of yours unless ya go..... Hey how about Santa Barbara this weekend ? the weather should be good.

Would love to go to SB-- but I have to go to Vegas for a convention- the company said I have to go-- can't get out of it-- dang company making me go to Vegas-- dang.

Thanks Bill and El for the kind words. We have enjoyed all ten prior year Delta and Bay Extravaganza's and something new and unexpected usually happens along the way on each different trip.

We have so admired your far ranging C-Dory journeys and adventures. Every time we think about buying a larger vessel we think of you two and ask why would we need it?

Hi Jim and all,

The MARCIA JANE will not be able to attend the 2013 gathering. I thought I was going to be ready by undergoing back fusion early, but alas I've contracted a Staph infection and am still a long way from bouncing around in the boat. we are both very disappointed and hope to be A-OK by the time of the Catalina gathering.

I hope you get listed as a "Group" soon. We'll enjoy all of your postings!

Jim,

If you still have room for another boat, we would like to come to the Delta again this year. This will be our 4th year, and always a great trip with terrific people.
