Hello Everyone, We are enjoying a few days on the water before the Gathering here in NC. The weather has been prefect ! We put in the water yesterday (Tuesday) took off for Beaufort in not so calm waters from Oriental . Once we were in Adams Creek everything calmed down. We slide into a slip just in time for supper here at Beaufort. We had a great meal at Clawsons. Then this morning took off for Cape Lookout lighthouse. WOW is all I can say.. it was too nice to put into words really. Not many folks there at all. I walked for two miles I'm guessing just enjoying the waters and shell hunting. Came back to the boat and Larry had been chatting up a local who explained that they get stuck a lot on the beach there. We didn't have any problems with our flat bottom. LOL After enjoying a few hours there we headed back to Beaufort. We saw a young man waving from a smaller boat. He lost engine power, so we hauled him into the ramp. We got him to the floating dock then headed back to Beaufort. We got here in time so see a really nice yacht come in behind us. We took off to see the Maritime Museum it was really nice. Then we came back to the boat for wine and tea. LOL Wine for me Tea for Larry. I made a us a nice big salad with chicken and more wine, tea. LOL Now..just people watching . Hope to see you all soon. Take care, Safe Boating.. Tracy

Hello All, We made into Whittaker Pointe Marina. We were found at the Town Dock by Anne B . We took Dragonfly over to Whittaker Pointe and also saw Grady's Pearl anchored beside the Anne B .We just got settled in when along came Hunk E Dory ! Can't wait to see everyone else ! Be safe see ya all soon, Tracy

We have been having "lovely" weather here in cloudy Whittaker Pointe..But no hurricane(could always be worse) just a lot of wind which drives the water and waves..yes waves across the river and sound. We wished we had a surf board earlier to surf the waves. LOL A few of us "brave(?)" souls went out to play for a wee bit on the river. Some took off for town and others are napping. Later we will have Carolina bbq and fried chicken with all the good fixins to go with it. Sorry to say some folks just couldn't risk coming by water so not as many boats this time. Better safe than sorry any day ! Ok that's my update...take care all safe boating.. Tracy

Hello everyone, Just wanted to thank everyone that came to the Gathering at Whittaker Pointe Marina. We had a great time even with the rain and waves. Everyone was so nice and good sports about the weather. I think I got to know everyone better because we were all stuck in the rocking chairs on the porch talking. The folks at the Marina are great as always. The Mobile East Marine folks came over to hang out and do a wee bit of work. Thanks to them for helping us with the meal Saturday night. Paula & Bob did a great job cooking us all breakfast Sunday morning. She makes the best bread in the world ! Again thanks for coming down and hanging out with us hope to see you all again soon on the water ! Take care, Tracy :D

We had a great week in North Carolina. We arrived from Pennsylvania on Sunday night. Spent Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday on the water cruising and discovering the area. Weather started to turn Wednesday night and got very windy, cloudy and finally some rain. It could have been much worse. Warm temperatures and warm friendships made the weekend perfect. Of course a fantastic marina made life good!
Got a ride on a new Venture and gave out plenty of ideas to new C-Dory owners. This was our third year to NC and looking forward to more. It is a fabulous area.
I think everyone had a great time. We C-Dory owners like to get together and talk about our boats and what we have done with them.
Thanks to Tracy & Larry, Gene and Carrie for a great weekend.
Thanks to everyone who made the trip.
Put some pictures in the album. New camera, so focus not so good but you get the picture! LOL

Gene and Carrie were kind enough to inform Rosemary and I about your September gathering since RM had been talking about buying either a Ranger Tug or a C-Dory.

We popped in for your Friday night Potluck and Sunday Breakfast (had prior commitment for a Wounded Warrior motorcycle rally in Jacksonville, NC in Saturday). All of you treated RM like it was ol' home week and answered all her questions and let her check out several different boats.

RM has signed the paperwork for the blue 22 foot Cruiser Gene and Carrie have on their lot. She hasn't selected a name yet (and it will not be Rosemary's Baby) but she is already chomping at the bit to get it in the water. In the interim she's taking the USCG AUX 12-week boating course to refresh her seamanship knowledge (she is an ol' sailboat owner).

Me, I'm just the deckhand who already has a list of "creature comforts" to manufacture compliments of this website. Hey, there's no need to reinvent the wheel and I appreciate the ideas shared by the C-Brat owners.

I'm sure RM will join this website after she names her boat and at that time the pictures of the mods will be posted.

Again, thanks for the hospitality and great companionship!

Congratulations on the new boat ! Please pass it along to Rosemary. I know she will enjoy her boat as we have enjoyed ours. Perhaps we will see you all on the water down around Oriental. Take care, Tracy
