Thanks Tracy...it'll be a last minute trip if we do, which isn't uncommon with us :)

I regret to inform that I am going to have to wave off this gathering :cry but not for bad reasons. We have been looking for a house on the Eastern Shore of Virginia for some time now and have found one right near Kiptopeke State Park in Capeville :rainbow :hot and will be closing on it the week before the gathering. I have lot to do moving things into the house that weekend. So while I can't attend this gathering, I will now be in a location to enjoy my C-Dory much more now than I was at my previous location. I look forward to the Maryland and NC gatherings next year, :beer and maybe we could think of a Hampton Roads gathering in between the two??? :?: (especially since the dealer support seems to be a non-issue now.)

Hello everyone ,
We will have folks there at Whittaker Pointe to help you get into the dock. We can have a few folks hanging around the Ramp to help out as well. To show you how to get to Whittaker Pointe Marina.
Please note that Whittaker Pointe Marina does not accept credit cards or bank cards. So please bring cash or a check to pay for your slip.

FRIDAY : We will have the pot luck dinner. Everyone has to bring something to share with whole group. We will get the bottled water, plates and forks and napkins. If you want something other than water..please bring your own LOL.

SATURDAY: We will do a nice slow cruise just a couple of hours. If you don't want to cruise then Oriental is a very nice place to walk around town. Then come back to Whittaker Pointe to get ready for our meal from Smithfield BBQ & Chicken. We will give out a few prizes, eat and visit with our new friends.

Sunday : Paula and Bob from Va are treating us to a made to order Omelet breakfast . She will also have a fruit bowl mix, croissants and coffee . So plan on leaving a wee bit later on Sunday morning. Take care all, See you all soon !

I did forget to remind everyone that the meal on Saturday night is 15.00 each and IF you want a tee shirt I need your order by Sept 11th. They will be 12.00 each . Have a great and safe Holilday ! Tracy

Hello to all, I have been reading this site as if it were a epic novel or non-fiction would be more appropriate. Anyway, I have finally joined in on the fun. First and foremost, I am looking for a 22 cruiser. New or used. I spoke with the folks at Kitsap and Sportcraft today. The hunt is on. So, having said all of that, I have two queries. I will be pulling my boat with a Dodge truck and Lance camper. I am looking at two hitches. A Reece class V or the Tork-Lift system. Any suggestions would be apprecitated. Second, okay, this may sound dumb, but would you pull your c-dory to Alaska. I have not driven the Alcan but I know thousands do and pull everything including the Kitchen sink. Just wondering. Thanks to all, and I am very excited about joining the club. Tightlines, Terry

Hi Everyone, Only two days left to place orders for tee shirts, I will not have any extras shirts at the Gathering. Can't wait to see everyone. :D Take care all..Tracy

Terry: If you follow the forums on natcoa I think you will find that either hitch is quality, but I think the majority would vote for the torklift. I am in the same situation with a dodge/cummins and a 10' northern lite. Several of the brats have driven the alcan and I believe many have specially made covers for the hull and windows to protect from flying rocks and debris. 21 months and counting

Good news... bad news... Carol and I will have to miss the event this year. That's the bad news. Good news is the reason. Our son will be home for 2 weeks leave from Iraq. We'll be sticking close to home last week of Sept. and first of Oct.

Hope everyone has fun. Last year's event was a blast!

We have lost a few folks all to Good news for them all . Marvin you will let me know how your test turns out right ? Larry and Jo I refuse to remove you from the list until the last minute ! If I need to make anymore changes please let me know. We only have 15 tee shirts so they will be 15.00 each. If you decide to NOT get tee shirts let me know by Friday ! Thanks see ya'll soon ! Tracy :)

Bob & I do want t-shirts. Do you have our order?

We drove by Whittaker Pointe a couple of weeks ago. It is a beautiful facility. I enjoyed the "red right returning" and green lights at the door as you return into the clubhouse. However, where is the launch ramp? Is it in town?

Do you know where we will go for the Saturday morning cruise? We enjoy looking at online maps ahead of time, so if you have some destinations in mind it would be fun to look at them.

We look forward to our first C-Dory gathering and meeting everyone!

Jackie (& Bob) Hall

Hello Jackie , Yes I do have your order for tee shirts. If you are in your boat you go under the big bridge and the ramp is on the other side. We will be driving our trucks/SUV's over to Whittaker Pointe after we unload the boat. We are planning on going to Minnascot Beach for a short trip. We had thought of going to Cedar Island and beaching the boats as well. Or if a short cruise doesn't interest some folks driving over to Oriental and walking around is always nice ! Whittaker Pointe is a really nice Marina and the folks that run it are just terrific people. Take care talk to you all soon.
Here is the Tee shirts on order:
Bill & Sharon Gewain
Bob & Paula Steves
Doug & Anne Baxter
Larry & Tracy Munson
Bob & Jackie Hall
Neal & Jeanne Mitchell

We will come by land--from Virginia. Our C-Dory is waiting for us down at Mobile East Marine, getting a tune-up and trim tabs. However I took a "virtual cruise" under the Oriental bridge via google maps and found the ramp! Thanks for your directions.
I'm sure Winnasott would be a nice cruise; however, if the weather is nice, Cedar Island looks like it would be Fantastic. I would expect lots of birds out there.
Jackie

We were thinking that we could split up, some go to Oriental, Minnascot beach or Cedar Island, or they can just hang out at Whittaker Pointe, swim or just chat. There are plenty of things to do there. Talk to you all soon. Tracy

If any changes come up please let me know.

Tracy, looks like you have everything under control. Good group of boats and new C-Brats too!

We are heading down with boat in tow on Sunday morning early. This will be our vacation week in North Carolina. We plan to cruise around both by boat and car. We had a great time last year arriving early but did not get to cruise much in the boat because of weather. Hope this year is much better.

Looking forward to seeing you and Larry and some of the other C-Brat friends.

Doug & Anne

Hello everyone I received this from Ashley the dockmaster at Whittaker Pointe. Just for info. We have been talking about putting boat lifts in some of the slips. Selling them with the slips, or letting folks put them in themselves with long term leases. Don't know if folks would be interested in something like that. Take care, Ashley

Hi Anne & Doug, Please be careful coming down ! It's a long drive as you know so be safe. We will be down Wednesday . I hope you get a chance to walk around down town New Bern. It's such a nice place to walk and have lunch. If you all need anything give us a call . I think you have my cell number if not just email me and I'll give it to you.
On another note ...I hate to be repeating my self but better safe than sorry. Please make sure to bring either cash or checks for the slip rentals and remember it's 15.00 each for the Meal Saturday night and the tee shirts are 15.00 each. We only had 15 shirts ordered so the price went up. Ok on that note. I'm off to curse the antivirus program I have installed ! LOL Take care all , talk to ya'll soon ! Tracy

Tracy we will not be making the trip down. Our boat has been sold and we will dearly miss all of you. The C-Dory owners are fortunate to have members like you and dealers like Mobile East Marine to offer there time and efforts to have gathering to share there fantastic boats.
Best of Luck
Syd & Margo
