09/24 - 09/26 - North Carolina, 4th Annual

Hello Everyone, We are abit over two months from the NC Gathering. Time to get names of everyone that's coming and your boat names. If anyone wants a tee shirt I need to know how many and what sizes. We are leaning towards a cookout Saturday night instead of a catered meal. We had way too many meals left over last year. A cook out would be cheaper and easier for everyone to pitch in and help. We hope to take a cruise up to New Bern, a local beach or up Adams creek. I will update as we decide. Cal and Bill have offered their help in getting everything together. Oh and Bob & Paula are cooking on Sunday last I heard. :lol: Take care all, thanks Tracy

Looks like the dates will work for us this year! We head to Hawaii a few days later, but don't want to miss a gathering. Will keep you posted Tracey as we get closer.

Dear Tracy "of Dragonfly fame"

Plans could possibly work out for me to pick up a new 25 Cruiser at Mobile East Marine on the weekend of the gathering. It would seem to me a good time to join in the fun of one of your C-Dory gatherings and find out what really goes on.

I'd like to sign up. I most definitely want a T-shirt, mens XL. And please let me know how I can contribute.

Hello Joe ! We would enjoy meeting you and having you join our C-Dory family I am sure ! We have a pot luck dinner Friday night. Saturday we have decided to do a group cookout rather than catering food into the Marina. So we will ask that you bring someone for everyone on Friday night. Saturday we will send someone..(Bob,Paula and Cal ) to the base to get enough food for Saturday night to cookout so everyone will pitch in for the meal usually 15.00 each . The tee shirts will be extra. We think we can get them for 10.00 each. Sunday Paula & Bob cook us all breakfast before we all head off in different directions ! We will be at Whittakers Pointe Marina in Oriental. I am sure Carrie and Gene told you all about that :D . Look forward to meeting you. Take care, Tracy

So far I have 17 boats signed up,with 9 tee shirts ordered so far. I WILL NOT order extra shirts so if you want one I need to know before the Gathering. I also need the names of each boat and names of the folks on each boat. Bill is making name tags this year for us. Here is what I have so far:

On a different note.. I made reservations at River Neuse Suites for Larry and I . They have more rooms open for the weekend we will be there for the Gathering. Here is their phone # 252-249-1404 they have some good rates !
There is also Oriental Marina/Inn here is their# 252-249-1818 Their rates are a wee bit more. There are also some B&B's there as well . Can't wait to see you all there ! :D Tracy
 
You asked about rates. We will charge $1/ft/night and $5 for power/night. Please remind everyone that we only accept checks or cash, no plastic. Should be fun.

With that many we won't have slips and power for everyone. We will dock them all over like last time. If we know the ones that have to have power, we will try and make sure they have it.

You should be very proud of the online site. It has been on my favorites Bar for over a year now. I read it every day and enjoy it very much. They gave your gathering a good write up last year and with lots of pictures and I am sure if you give them a heads up, we will see you on their pages again this year.

It is with regret that I will not be able to attend this year, as I will be in your area for the week of Aug, 7-14 and will just have to surfies to say...better timing next year.

We totally love Oriental and the folks at Whittaker Pointe Marina. Its like our home away from home down there ! I will let the folks at the TownDock know about are Gathering again this year. I think they are getting used to being Invaded by C-Dory Boats ! LOL Too bad you all can't stop by. If you are down there though you should stop in and look around. Take care, Tracy
