Thanks Tracy! I still haven't called about a slip at Oriental...just been too dang busy, and forgetful.

Tracy? You may have already posted it but I am too lazy to go back & read all the emails.

What is the agenda for the gathering? Is something planned for Friday & Saturday evening, and if so what is it? Do you have any breakfast plans for the gathering? Any local cruises?

I will be arriving in Oriental on Wednesday with C-Gypsy. My sister & brother-in-law will be flying down Thursday for the weekend.

I am trying to put an agenda together for their visit, like a trip to New Bern, etc. I do not want to plan anything until I know what will be going on at the gathering.

OK Larry and I will be there either Wednesday or Thursday night mostly depends on his work . Friday night we are having a pot luck dinner. Make or buy something to bring, everyone is bring something so it should be fun. Saturday we are taking a group cruise (we can vote as to where we want to go ) . We'll be taking personnel boat tours of everyone elses boats. Plus we were thinking of having some treasure hunt on the water Saturday as well or Sunday. Saturday night we are having a Low Country Boil dinner that Carrie and Gene at East Marine are putting on for us. Sunday some will be getting ready go home while some can take another cruise or just chat with their new friends. I think Carrie has some entainment lined up for Saturday night as well.

Hi all sorry I forgot to mention earlier about the prizes Carrie has as well. She wants us to vote on best improved boat, most unique boat, fartherest traveled stuff like that. She has some terrific prizes I have to say but I promised not to tell what they are yet.. . Just wanted to through that in there.. take care all.. Tracy :wink

I prefer my prizes to be cold, and of the "dozen" variety.... :lol:

A prize for the farthest travelled? Hmmm... I will be trailering C-Gypsy 475 miles each way.

Some of the Maryland boys may match that. Hmmm...

Does it count if I leave PA and head NORTH for 2 hours? I could probably make the trip 700 miles long if I do that.

Then again, at almost $3.00 per gallon of diesel fuel the prize would have to be really good. Like the 10 million dollars Publisher's Clearinghouse has been promising me for years. That would be nice. :mrgreen:
 
:D I think everyone will be pleased with the prizes that Carrie and Gene have to offer. I'm sure we can do the cold and dozen thing too ! :beer LOL
 
Well, if you've still got room for more, Alma's Only, with two aboard, would like to join you all at Whitacre's Point Marina Friday and Saturday nights, if that works. We could always hitch up at the Oriental town dock, which does have the advantage of being right across the street from the ice cream shop!. But, we'd rather be close to our fellow Brats.

Looking forward to seeing old friends, meeting new ones, and visiting again with the wonderful people from Mobile East Marine.

The folks at the Marina asked us to let you all know that they need either cash or checks only for the payment of the slips ( 25.00 per day ). They can't take credit cards. Carrie would like cash or checks for the tee shirts ( 15.00 each ). I have six people on my list that wanted us to get them slips reserved.
Hawley's:McCarten's; Jessup's ; Boulden; David and Dayna; Munson. IF anyone else needs a slip reserved please let me know ASAP. I believe we have a total of 15 boats coming, with around 50 people total with and without boats. I think that makes a nice little group ! We'll be there Wednesday (Larry and Tracy) and I heard a few others are thinking on coming early too. It will be loads of fun (knock wood) Email if you have an questions or need help.
