09/20 - 09/22 - 7th Annual NC Gathering

Pandy Girl,
Joan and I plan to leave home Friday morning, so should be there around noon. I could use your help to launch and get the truck-trailer rig back to the marina.

Great Pot Luck Dinner tonight, Should have left off some of the Deserts. Great to see everyone, & some new ones that are looking at C-Dorys. We do miss those that could make it, the weather is great with a full Moon again tonight. Jim

Hi All, We left the hotel marina at about 10 till 5:00 am. Jeanne's back was really hurting. I do have the pictures on my computer but I do not have a picture gallery. I did enjoy seeing everyone and also meeting new people. Neal & Jeanne

I met a lot of great people over the past weekend at Whitter Point get together. What a great group of C Brats. Good food, great location and wonderful company. I look forward to seeing them again.
Thanks for letting me be a part of the group.

PS look forward to seeing some of the at their home port soon.

Tony and Linda would like to thank those at the C-Brats gathering at Whittaker Point marina, oriental, NC for a really good time that was also very informative for a boat looking couple.

Thanks Tony and Linda

The NC trip was well planned and overall a wonderful weekend getaway. Erma gets every detailed laid out as always, Whittaker Point Marina is like staying at a secluded (gated community) marina and Mobile East Marine was a welcomed host at our main dining function.
I think that Joan and I will visit that area again in the near future, as it was a very easy drive (trailering) to get there and there is lots of areas to explore within easy reach of simple day cruises.
Lastly I have known few boat sales/repair facilities that don't have the typical gum-shoe salesman pushing boats out the door. Gene at Mobile East is one of the most honest people I have met in the business (and boat buying and repair has been my business for years). If I buy another C-Dory, or need major maintenance done on mine, his company will be 1st on my list.
Best regards,
Steve Baum

Hello C-Brats and Munchkin

The crew of "Falcon" are back home safe. Our NC Gathering Adventure was a wonderful experience meeting new C-Brats. We will post more later about cruise to Bald Head Island and more.

Hello All,

Ernie and I just wanted to take some time to thank everyone who attended and helped make the 7th annual gathering such fun. We really enjoyed spending time with all our old friends and meeting new ones. The falcon crew was great fun. Bill is a sly fox, but Miss Brenda has his number for sure. Alan it was a pleasure to meet you.

As always thanks to Jim and Sandy on Pandy Girl for helping with paper products and to Gene and Carrie for Sat Night's dinner. Also thanks to Ashley and mates at the Marina for all the hospitality. Each year I say after the event that I will not do it another year. So lets see what the new year will bring!!!

I know many of you have done the loop and several times and I was wondering what the standard route has been and what marinas have folks stayed at or anchorages along the way. I know it depends on where you put in, but any info would be helpful.

I know the route and have the brochure, but wanted to really know where people stay and what the point to point route is typical.

I was also wanted to know what is the best map guidebook is best for NC and SC as I live in Columbia SC and there is lots of coastline along the states to explore.
