I thought we should get this on the schedule so everyone can plan on making all 8 Get Togethers in the PNW. Sequim should be a good jumping off point for those heading to Lake Powell. As Jim States promised, "We will have 100% weather". More to come as plans take shape.

Roger,

Barring any unforseen weather  we will be there :hot :rainbow . Anything we can do to help please pass the word. We have an expanded C-Dory population in our area, hope we can get a weigh-in from all the local ~brats. :hug :hug2

Great to hear the Brats will be getting together again in Sequim Bay.

We certainly hope to be there again and see all of you - Roger and Janet and Harvey and Deena - as well as anybody else that joins us in Sequim Bay State Park.

Hopefully, even before this gathering, we will see all of you numerous times in the coming months out on the water.

We are definitely ready for the better weather to get here. Its been a long and dreary winter.

Take care,
Dan & Tanya

Roger,

Have they moved John Wayne marina to agree with the position shown on Raymarine chart plotters yet?
First time I went in there I had to climb over the breakwater 8)

Merv

Merv,

We've been trying to get the Marina to move, but no luck yet. In the mean time, I contacted Navionics about the anomaly. I just count to 10 after passing the indicated Marina entrance then turn to Starboard!

Roger

Had occasion to talk to one of our local C-Dory owner friends and the upcoming Sequim Bay event came up. Might be a couple more "new" locals to include in the Sequim Contingent. Looking forward to another great time.

Hopefully Mike or Bill can put this on the schedule and we'll see if it will fly! Remember, 100% weather is guaranteed...

It's on the books. I like the weather guarantee!

You folks from John Wayne Marina shouldn't feel singled out by Navionics. The location of the Island Cove Marina (where we are here in Pensacola) is a good quarter-mile off from where shown on my Navionics Platinum+ Gulf Coast card...

Greetings to all C-Brats. This is Buzz Gorman and I am now officially back in the employ of the renownd "WEFINGS MARINE", located in beautiful downtown Eastpoint, FL
I am looking forward to working with the C-Dory bunch again and supporting both new and existing owners in any way possible.
Just let me know what you need, I will do what I can.

Stay on the water as much as possible,
Buzz Gorman

With all the budget cuts, some of the state parks are being closed. My inside source assures me that Sequim Bay State Park is not one of them! :thup

Other good news, Sequim Bay Yacht Club is no longer charging us a fee to use their club room. Now, if we can just get a weather guarantee!

Planing keys trip in future ,how do you know where to anchor and if you will be secure if weather picks up.How rough will you stay out in weather overnight .Thinking about launching in marathon, but crusing around, dont know if we will find dock space when needed .How protected are you in coves ect? What forcast will send you to dock, wind speed or predicted wave size ?I guess you could try to get over to bayside if possible.Just want to know when is right time to find dockage. Thanks

Hi Roger, et al;
we have spent the last two weekends over at Mystery  Bay SP, and have managed to find a whole fleet of "local" D-Dories. From Mats Mats Bay, Port Townsend, Olympia, Union, & Brennan and we have seen several more from here on the Peninsula. Have really tried to encourage more local participation, :hug :hug2 and introduced the C-Brat.com :idea to some who were not even aware of it. Also passed the word to watch for the Sequim Bay CBGT. Maybe we will need a longer dock here come Sept? :thup :wink

Wylie,
"Planing keys trip in future..."
, just in case the keys is really a typo for key trip, and it would be, you would be welcome up here on the left corner at Sequim too. No anchoring needed here we have a good dock.

With only two more CBGTs to go in the PNW, it's time to beat the drum for the Sequim Gathering. All those who have told me that they're pretty sure they're coming, sign up! The Sequim Bay Yacht Club's room is reserved for us Sat. night 9/12. No charge this year, just a refundable deposit. And, it is air conditioned, just in case!

So, Tom, Dan, Larry, et al, please use the sign up list. We hope to see a record crowd there!

Seems silly to put the boat in the water at JW just to have something to wash a couple of days later, BUT will plan to provide shuttle service and foodstuffs as appropriate.

Don 't forget to sign up, and for sure, don't forget to come. We'll have a good time
and the guarantee is for 100% weather :hot :rainbow :rose

Last year we had a guest speaker, a WSF captain, after the pot luck. Curious if those that are planning on coming are interested in having another marine oriented speaker?

Everybody is out boating instead of home working on their boats, (Roger, the hailer/fog horn worked today [thank you] -- just letting the 5200 set before the permanent install).

Giving everyone a chance to vote on the speaker thing. OK, don't be shy.
