Hello Everyone,

Joyce and I had a wonderful time at the Guttenberg gatering! Thanks to Ron & Connie for hosting such a great event, you throw a good party.

We departed Guttenberg on Sunday about mid-day and headed north on the river. We spent Sunday night in a slough just north of Lansing MN. It was a very peaceful spot, we flushed an eagle when we entered and enjoyed the full moon in the evening. Monday we went on to Trempealeau, WI. I put in at Trempealeau last year on a trip to St. Paul and back. I was happy to fill in the gap in my explorations of the Upper Miss. Now I can say I have been from St. Paul to Debuque. The upper Miss. is a delightful strech of water. Next year we'll head south. We stayed in a slough just south of La Crosse Moday night. Tuesday we returned to Guttenberg and it appears like we were the last to leave. Someone told us a C-Dory had pulled out in the afternoon, but I'm not sure who it could have been. We loaded the boat and spent Tuesday night in the marina parking lot.
Wednesday we made our way home via southern Wisconsin. We stopped in Spring Green and Frank Lloyd Wright's Taleisen and the New Glarus Brewery on our way home. We got home about midnight.
It was a great trip. Guttenberg is a wonderful little town, but it is the people (C-Brats) that make it so special. Thanks again, Ron & Connie and everyone who came! We are looking forward to next year.
