Left Mount Vernon about 10:00 on Monday. Traffic was awful westbound over the pass, but we had clear sailing eastbound. Made it as far as Fort Spokane before heat and fatigue got to us.
We put in at Kettle Falls on Tuesday about noon. Headed south to near Barnaby Islands. Spent a nice evening anchored in a small cove on the east side of the Lake. The weather was quite hot, in the 90's.
Wednesday we headed back north to try to hook up with Penny & Chuck on Two Bears. Met them at the KF Marina and spent the afternoon/evening/next morning with them beached up the Kettle River near Napolean Bridge.
We then explored north up to Summer Island, then decided to take out and head down to Gifford to see if Pat & Patty had made it over. Spent another very nice evening, this time out of the sun on the west side near Hall Creek.
I would have liked to catch up. With you guys. I launched at hunters on Wednesday night and headed south as I thought you might have gone south from KF. Glad you had a good time
