08/27 - 08-29 - Langley Cruise and Clam Dig

If nothing changes between now and the Langley weekend, we'll launch from Everett sometime early Saturday morning. Looking forward to seeing everyone.

Hi All,
Langley will be our first cruise on the C-Dory but not our first boat. I have never cruised the Whidbey Island area. Is there any local information that might be useful? We will be coming from EQ. Don't know if we will have time to get there Friday evening or wait till Saturday.

Friday we took the SENSEI out for a half day cruise and went over to Langley and had a talk with Harbormaster Ben. when he saw us comming in he was of the impression that the gathering was this weekend and asked me if we were the first to show. I told him that we were just two weeks early . he said that he is looking forward to us comming over and that we should bring about 20 boats in and fill up the dock....lol.....
I told him that as of yesterday there were about 8 boats so far.
The coordinates for the clam beach are

W122 34.628
 
we are going try our darndest to make it up there.. we have a TOA Cruise to port Orchard that we got committed to, but will at least try to show up either late Saturday or maybe Sunday Morning.

Oh Yeah Pat,, whatta ya need GPS Coordinates for? You could make it with your eyes closed!!

I got detailed info from Roger on Sensei about the rout to Langley. I am looking forward to playing with the chartplotter on the new boat. I also have charts but it is always good to get local knowledge if you can.

The Da Nag crew is signed up, although my first mate will be the four-legged Koko. Dana G will be coming along for Sequim and Lake Shasta.

So - shore power for lattes, or will I be firing up the generator?
 
Sorry I can't make it this year. Have a previous engagement that got engaged before the date for Langley was engaged.

Will miss the show by the Marina-meister. And all of you of course also.

Hmmmmm I guess its gettin time to think about steamed clams & mussels. Oh Yeah, the corn will be ready by then also. so I gots the corn pot and the steamer pot and Burner.I guess the corn is my contribution, no desert this time arround.
 
If anyone is going to EQ Marine before the Langley cruise could you pick up our propeller and bring it to Langley??? If not we will pick it up on our way to the San Juans. Thanks. Deb.
 
Is there anyone leaving Friday afternoon that would not mind giving Robbin a lift over to Langley? She is good company and doesn't make to much of a mess.

:lol: Hi my names tom and my wife is susan. we want a c-dory really bad and would like to come see your boats on saturday afternoon or sunday morning. we have a 19 ft starcraft that we just took to lopez this last weekend. got to love that fog. while at lopez we ran into les from eq and his brother in law with his brand new 22 cruiser. we got the tour and asked a lot of questions but we still need a ride in one :wink . I will be crabbing and fishing on the way over and back so may be able to contribute to the pot luck if you want. more or less we just want a ride :wink and to ask some one other then a dealer about the cdorys. if its ok with you guys we would really like to visit for while. we called on the pegasus but she was already sold on friday. today i was at dagmars looking into dry storage and quess which boat is there . thats right pegasus that is a really clean boat. :thup
