Look for the Chevron station next to the McDonalds at Lincoln and Mindinao, on the northeast corner of the intersection. Main entrance to the marina is one blk south on Lincoln at Fiji. There is a Shell station there, but it is too small to maneuver in. Go west on Fiji to the ramp driveway entrance, past Admiralty.

Regular gas was 3.27 this morning at the Chevron station.

Ralph's grocery store is open 24/7 across from the station. It usually has block ice. Starbucks is open at 0600 just down from the Ralph's. West Marine is at the south end of the center, at Lincoln and Fiji.

C-Pup16 will leave MDR with the group on Monday and return to MDR early Wednesday. C-Pup will return to the Isthmus either Wednesday morning after refueling or Thursday morning after napping all day Wednesday, ...probably the latter. C-Pup will return to the main land (maybe San Pedro) on Sunday morning. ~Keith

Dive Cat's stb engine has a locked up Bendix starter. Can't gets parts or tech.

We're screwed.

Its Friday evening, and I don't think I will be able to make a 9:00am departure Sunday morning. I have been very busy this week and have been unable to set time aside. Saturday I won't be able to do anything either. So that leaves Sunday morning to do things, like load the provisions, dinghy, kicker engine, clothes etc.

I will be at MDR sometime Sunday PM with the boat, but with my truck pulling it!!

The cookies are made and ready to go!!

I read you loud and clear. Have been equally busy, but will load everything on Sunday morning, early, and still run up from Oxnard by sea. That's still the easier way for me. So, we'll see you there.

We'll see you at the landing Sunday. Been busy here with the darn contractors at the house.
We'll head to the Isthmus straight away and get a jump on island time.
 
Well Ron, at least the IMPORTANT task is done (cookies....hmmm), now you can work the less important things like getting gas, provisioning, clothes, etc. Been a busy week for me too, tried to get out at 1pm today from work, didn't make it out till after 4pm, then 45 minute drive home. Too much to do on the boat, hoping to get away by mid-pm Sunday heading to MDR. Saturday is shot, home/yard things.

Oh and to add insult, my wife called me at work about 1:30pm to tell me she had to shut the water off at the street, one of the sprinkler manifolds that the previous owner installed direct to the street blew its top! Great.
 
We are loaded and ready for the drive south. We are at the parents to leave the cat and will head out in the morning.

Is there going to be anyone else at MDR Saturday evening? Is anyone heading across from MDR on Sunday?

Steve (Seabran), I don't know of any going over from MDR on Sunday now that Bob has canceled. Roger is going direct from Channel Islands Sunday morning. Have a safe trip down, looking forward to another good visit.
 
Hey Roger and PJ, what's your ETA for Sunday? We hope to arrive at the Isthmus about 10 AM. We'll monitor ch 68 and keep an eye out for y'all.

We'll be leaving CIH around 0800 - 0900, expect ETA around 1200 - 1300.

The boat is in the water, tied up at the Yacht Club dock.

I'm bringing PJ's dive gear-- going to try to get her in the water, if only to snorkel. She needs to get used to the water so she can complete her dive certifications.

Looks like I'll be renting a tank.

Bob- hope you can get the starter fixed without to much trouble- at least it is still under warranty. It's a PITA anyway.
 
We are in the Malibu Beach RV Campground and will arive at MDR Sunday afternoon. Hope to get a gust slip at Chase Park and join the transit on Monday.

I'll be loading up the boat tomorrow morning at about 7:30, underway by about 9-9:30am. It's all fueled up, but been too busy to gather all the provisions and load it, so doing it just before I leave. Will probably forget something.....hope it's nothing important. Trusting my buddy Bob, whose going with me, to remember what I don't. See y'all at MDR.
 
I'm BEHIND schedule, that's for sure! Finished 1 of 3 tasks I wanted to accomplish on the boat and it's 9pm and no more energy. Oh well, one is better than none. Will be cleaning up and provisioning tomorrow, probably will arrive very late afternoon maybe even after dinner Sunday at MDR. I'll call Mike or other numbers I have with update so you don't wonder if I'm joining you for dinner.

Talked with Steve (Seabran) earlier- he's at MDR for the night, expects to cross in the morning.
I warned him about contacting the Sheriffs Office, to let them know he would be parking in the lot for a week, and to find out if he needs to purchase extra parking passes.
I told him to call for Salty-C's on channel 68 when he gets close to the Isthmus.
 
I always purchase extra parking tickets now. I'll be getting 6 x 24hr periods. It's easy now since the machine takes credit cards, just have to enter it 6 times then place all visible on dash.
 
The Honda Tech never made it to Dive Cat Friday or Saturday, so the diagnosis has not been confirmed, nor the parts ordered. I'll be down there first thing on Monday. IF they can get to it, and IF it's quick enough, we MAY be able to come over late in the week.
