Made our reservation. Coming up from Everett on Friday. We may leave Saturday and go home. Don't know yet. We are in "negotiations".

What time are you planning on departing from Everett on Friday?

Probably sometime mid-morning; hope to get down there around 1000 hours or so. Meredith had a training class in the morning but she changed it to later in the month. so we an get an earlier start.

We will probably be leaving sometime Saturday, so we'll miss the pot-luck. Meredith has to work Monday @ 0630 so we want to get home sooner.

C-Change shroud be in La Conner sometime mid-morning on Friday if everything goes to plan. That said, hopefully I'll make it by dinnertime :D

Anyone have an old nav light or know where we can buy one?. lost ours and we are in Anacortes headed to La Conner. West Marine does not carry them in stock. Thanks.

Do you mean the all-around/anchor light? If so, I don't have an extra of the "official" C-Dory fixture, but I do have a Davis Mini Mega all-around light that plugs into a cigarette lighter plug and has a long cord (used to use it for an anchor light on a sailboat). It can just be clipped or tied up for use. If you could use it, I'm in Oak Harbor. Could give it to C-Cakes if they are still home to pass along to you. Or, we were just talking about running an errand up to Anacortes, so we could bring it there and meet you somewhere.

Here is a link to it on West Marine's site so you can see it. It's not as low a draw as an LED, but was a "super efficient" bulb back in the pre-LED days, so has a low draw. I'll dig it out and plug it in to be sure it still works in case you could use it.

Edited to add: Just plugged it in and it is in working order. Also, one note on the "official" Perko C-Dory fixture if you find one to use or buy: I found out when I replaced the base for mine that both two-contact and three-contact versions were used on C-Dorys over the years. My 2002 has a two-contact version (just look in the base and count the prongs).

If you are looking for a all around/anchor light we do have an extra that you can use for the trip. We just installed a radar arch with an anchor light and was using the original as a spare. I will be in La Conner and I will have it with me.

Hey Jim & Marti:

We have a 2-prong anchor light you're welcome to keep, if you like. No longer using it. We'll bring it with. Looking forward to seeing you at dinner tonight!

We've got a bank of three waterfront tables reserved at the Seafood & Prime Rib place on 1st Street. I think head count is 9 now...tables are set for 4 but can expand to a snug 6. If anyone would like to join, please let Barry & Patti or us know.

We'll see you all on the docks about 3pm.

Thank you C-Dory group for your courteous welcome. We got to see many CDs and also got a full tour of a very nice CD25. My wife really liked the head/shower and I liked the roomy cockpit. Sorry we couldn't stay for the pot luck. Hope you get to boil some crab this evening. Thanks again. Larry and Naida.

Loved seeing the C-Dory line-up on F Dock. We counted 13.

Thanks, Susan, Tom & Shadow for helping make such a great weekend. And special thank you to Neptune, Deputy Assistant Reverend Barry, and all the C-Brats for christening Sweet Pea. She was half lit from all the libations poured into the anchor locker, but no hangover the next day thanks to Joe & Dan's refreshing water chaser :)

We made it back safely. Got a little "bouncy" in Saratoga Pass, as the winds were coming out of the SW. Pulled our two pots that soaked for two nights; 8 good-sized keepers, a couple in the 7" range! By the time we got home, got everthing cleaned up & put away, it was 1500 hours. Time for crab cleaning and a cold IPA or two...it was an early night.

We had a blast, as usual. My face ached from laughing so much on Saturday night. Good to see old friends and meet some new ones. Thanks to Tom & Susan....

Back to work tomorrow...

Aloha

We greatly enjoyed seeing everyone and meeting some new C-Brats!!

Hope those that continued the cruise northwards - Barry & Patti, Jim & Marti, Paul & Amy, and Jon (who will be joined by Stacey) - all have a safe and enjoyable journey.

Thanks Tom and Susan for setting things up!

Take care,
Dan, Tanya, and Hannah on C-Renity

Had a great time meeting everyone at our first gathering in La Conner. The welcome was truly outstanding. We had a blast on our first overnight experience and seeing the variety of boats in one location was such a delight.

Huge thanks to Tom for coordinating.

Thanks Tom and Susan for all your hard work and a great La Conner time. It was great to see everyone.
Also, thanks to everyone who responded with our need for an anchor light. We are blessed to be in such a great group of people.
We are having a great time in the islands up north with Barry & Patti, Jan and Stacy. Also, Amy and Paul for the first couple of days. We hope to be back to Whidbey Island tomorrow. Thanks again everyone.
Marti
