Hi Caryn and Peter,

Great that you can join our group for Desolation after Ladysmith. We will show you around, yer in for a treat.

Martin and Andrea.

Well we are not going to be able to go this year and I'm really disappointed.

My grand father is turning 95 this year on the same weekend. He has a birthday party every year but i never go because my aunts ( that all live in the same area ) have it on his birthday which is a weeknight most times. After explaining to my grandfather that I could not make it on a weeknight just for dinner, 9 hour round trip if I am lucky, I have been invited to his party on a weekend this year. Be careful what you ask for you just might get it.

Susan , myself and my son james will all be going. How many 25 year olds get to go to their great grandfather 95 birthday and both of them are driving there??

I hope you all have a great time.

We will miss you Tom, Susan, and Shadow for sure. Congrats on your G/Dads 95th. At least his 100th falls mid week, so you can come out and play with us at the weekend.

Martin & Andrea.

Hi, all. Just a reminder to call Debbie or Marc at the Ladysmith Maritime Society to make your reservation for the Ladysmith CBGT July 24-26. The phone number is 1 250 245 1146. We have a dinner reservation Friday evening the 24th at the Fox and Hounds in Ladysmith. No need to book - there will be plenty of room for everyone. Looking forward to seeing you in Ladysmith!

Hello, fellow brats. Blake and Rhonda (C-Fury), Dave and Robyn (Rancoast), and Bill and Dorothy (Blue Skies) would like to invite you to a CBGT in Ladysmith, July 24-26, 2015.

We have booked dock space at the Ladysmith Maritime Society. Rates will be $1.35 per foot for the first night, and $1.00 per foot for the remainder of the boating season. Call Mark or Debbie at 1 (250) 245-1146 to book space. The Ladysmith Maritime Society has really good facilities, very new, a cafe, clean washrooms, showers and laundry facilities, and both inside and outside meeting space. Ladysmith is a small town with a fun and interesting main street and several good restaurants. It is central to both north and south island and gulf island cruising.

Hope to see you there!

We will need a sign-up sheet.
Hi fellow CBrats--Blueback here.
I may have missed the sign-in sheet. However, we would like to join the group and have booked in with the Ladysmith, Maritime Society last night.
We have a 16' Angler and live in Qualicum Beach, BC. So our plan is to trailer down Island to Ladysmith and launch there. If there are some day trips planned we would feel good about that too.
Our thinking was, if there was a "CCG--strong wind warning" given our size, we would have stayed home. This way we get to meet you all regardless of the weather.

Just reserved space for the event looking forward too seeing you all
We're in Comox at the dock where we had a CBGT a couple years back
Had coffee with Martin this am, raining and breezy, we need the rain!!
Great marina, access to old Comox shops and friendly folks
We towed from Campbell River to Gold River last week to see if cooler and less smoke, a bit cooler for sure
The launch ramp is some sketchy at Gold River for access down inlet to Nootka Sound
That plus the 30-35 knot inflow kept us boaterhoming
We enjoyed a nite in Strathcona park campsite and 1 in Gold River site and 1 nite in a roadside view point with a view of the valley and river, very nice
We then returned south towing to Union Bay and launched into a rising wind for the short hop to Comox
Union Bay is a verrry sleepy spot but we stop there often to boater camp, packed gravel beach launch just like in the Colorado near Yuma, blew hard all day and raining today
Looking forward to Ladysmith

Patty here. We have to cruise the week BEFORE the Ladysmith CBGT and were wondering if anyone else would be in the Gulf Islands the week before. We will head to Cabbage Island on Monday and go north from there. ?????

Monica and I plan to head up from Victoria on Friday afternoon. Are we planning a potluck on Saturday? Any thing else planned.
We plan to take a couple of days heading back to Victoria through the northern gulf islands.

Thanks for your note. As we are a 16' Angler; Our coastal travels are basic with trailer-ing to fish an area etc. Our home is in Qualicum Beach-- therefore French Creek (5-min. away) gives us access to Georgia Strait - which opens up a great area to fish and explore around Lasqueti Island etc. We - of course- have to keep a very sharp weather eye out though- small boat, big waters--LOL
Looking forward to meet the big sisters to Blueback

Hi, Mike and Monica and all who plan to attend the Ladysmith gathering. We are planning supper Friday night at the Fox and Hound, probably 6 pm-ish, breakfast hosted by Blake and Rhonda Saturday morning, the customary boat tour and a geo-caching walkabout Saturday, and a potluck Saturday night. We believe there will be chowder 😄.

There is lots to do in Ladysmith, including a good museum, good restaurants, good shops, good coffee, and of course good company.

At last count 20 have booked. If you haven't already done so please call Debbie or Marc at 1-250-245-1146 to reserve space. There is still lots of space available.

See you all very soon!

Just talked to Marc at Ladysmith. 26 C-Dorys are registered. He says they are filling up. If you are thinking of arriving on a trailer, (like Thursday night) , it is OK to sleep in the boat on the hard and launch Friday AM. Thursday night slip options are tight as there is some group that sounds like Granger Dougs in the marina then

See you there. Looking forward to this one.

Omg Harvey. The Grainger Dougs. That had me laughing out loud. Dorothy

The Grainger Dougs will be checking out around 11 am on Friday the 24th, and check in for the C-Brats is any time after that. We are booked at 7 pm for dinner at the Fox and Hounds (not 6 pm as we earlier said). Kids are welcome.
