Hi.....Looking at our schedule,
It looks like we might be able to get there by vehicle on the Sunday morning.
Assuming it not to far from Marriott SeaTac.
and
some C-Brats will still be in the area.

It's about 80 miles.

La Conner is really a great place and the currents are not that bad, just be sure to dock heading into them rather than with them. It is a beautiful afternoon journey from La Connor to either end of the channel. There is a casino right at the end of the opening to Padilla Bay, Not sure if they have a dock or not.

My wife and I purchased our 22' C-dory in July, 2009. Since then, we have not ventured far from Port Orchard. We are interested in attending this gathering, but we're a little timid.
I noticed there are several C-Brats on the Kitsap Peninsula and I'm curious if any are going to make the cruise to La Connor, or if they are going to trailer their boats up.
So, if you are planning to attend and live near us, please private message. Perhaps we could meet over coffee in the near future and take it from there.

We just spent a few days at LaConner to celebrate our 51st anniversary. . Our kids gave us a stay at the Heron Inn and a couple of gift certificates to eat at Seeds and the LaConner Pub. What a great town for a C-Brat get together. It was all wonderful and all within steps of the docks. We only sampled a few places and I'm sure many here know a lot more about the town. But from our experience I can assure you it is a great destination, whether by boat or by car. To top it off, a six pack of IPA at the LaConner Brewing Company is $7.00, tax included.

Yeah well, my father's last words to me before he passed away were, "the best thing you ever did was marrying Dottie". When we retired from the same place, on the same day, me with 30 years, Dotty with 12,. our boss spent a long time extolling Dottie's accomplishments, then she turned to me and said "The best thing you ever did was recruiting Dottie." So, I guess I was good at something.

Hi, C-Dory and related fans,

Karen & Al plan to explore the southern reaches of Puget Sound this summer, starting around the first of July in Ruston, WA. Naturally, we will enjoy joining the group at La Conner 7/20-22.

If any of you are cruising the Sound in July please hail us. We always like company. No cell phone. We monitor Ch. 16 underway. For easy ID: Cape Cruiser 23, "HARMONY", green trim with full green cover aft, muddy green inflatable on top, 115 Yamaha.

See you on the Sound!

Ok We are just a month away from the Gathering so its time for a update.

American Tug has agreed to host a tour on saturday at 10am. So now that I have set it up how many or you would really like to go? I might set up a seperate sign up sheet for it.

I will also be hosting a crabbing trip on Saturday. Time will depend on tides and if I want to go on the tour or not.

We have decided that we are going to make the trip north once again. We plan to arrive the week before and join this party! We have been to the San Juan's many times but there are lots of places we have never been and La Conner is one of them.

Do we need to make any reservations or is it open dock? Is there a sign up list for this?

We also plan to go to Comox for the next weekend. Have not decided where to launch and leave the rig yet. We have used both Bellingham and Anacortes in the past. I think I prefer ramp over sling. Any other suggestions for launching?

Thanks,
Steve & Karen

Please sign us up for the Tomco factory American Tug tour too.

Tanks,
Dan, Tanya, and Hannah on C-Renity

P.S. Only Dan & Tanya will be attending the tour! Hannah has no such interest.

Very cool that people are wanting to do the tour. Should be interesting to see several boats in the process of being built.

Steve, great to see that you guys are coming north again. just sign up at the top under Event Signup. We have a whole dock set aside for that weekend and you can just pay when you get there.
