07/15 - 07/17 Blakely Island

When you are talking about Deception Pass Marina are you talking about Coronet Bay? If so then we are planning on being there on Thursday night as well.

Tyboo, Larry, Deb, I was going crabbing Thursday and then to Doe Island Thursday night. Does anyone want to do an evening cruise and meet me at the dock? It is only about 25 miles from Cornet Bay. Not far for your boats. Maybe if I have some time I just might head back to Cornet Bay.
Byrdman, if you want to do some crabbing Thursday let me know.

No cruising for us on Thursday evening, we'll be lucky if we make it to Coronet Bay by nightfall. Thanks for the invite though.
Sounds like we're going to have a mini gathering Thursday night. :thup That'l be cool.
 
:D OK... This is getting too fun... Did not sleep last night getting excited about this trip. Did hook up via email with Roger/Lizbeth about a little indigent billeting arangement for Thursday night at their place...with a trip out crabbing to boot.. So, taking them up on that, then getting up early to head to Deception Pass Marina... Toss stuff on someone's boat...after handing off the tomatoes... and off to the gathering. Still looking for a bunk for Friday/Sat night...but if that does not work out.... something else will... It aint like I have never slept on a dock somewhere just to make sure no one gets our stuff.... or had too much of our stuff.... and simply took an opertunity to perform a true field testing on a chair, car hood, pickup truck bed, base of a tree, driveway or the like... My plans are as follows: 4th, enjoy fireworks on Lake Martin, 5th pull and clean FreeByrd for wedding, 6th head to Hilton Head, 7&8th enjoy Hilton Head water area and rehersal for bride delivery on FreeByrd, 9th wedding duty, 10th bring her (FreeByrd) back to Bama, 11th....sleep, 12th go to Nashville, 13th cook BBQ, 14th fly to SEATAC, make factory visit and check on TC255, head up to SENSI's Indigent Care Hotel & Crabbing inc., 15th Deception Pass Marina, Blakely till I get a ride back to DPM on Sunday or Monday (not sure of anyones plans on back side of this), back to SEATAC on Monday for flight back to Nashville on 18th, return BBQ plant items on 19th..and possibly head back home to Montgomery to catch up on Honey-Do list after being gone 2 weeks playing C-Dory... :D :D Ya Gotta Love America! Happy 4th of Jul ALL! I can hear Willie now..... On the Roooad Again....I cant just wait to get on the Roooad again....but thats cause he never had a C-Dory my friend... on the road and waters again.

Aah yes Pat - you've clearly discovered the great aspect of being retired. You can just go through Life at your own pace, no rushing, just nice and slow; don't do Today what you can put off to tomorrow!

Hey Casey!! Great to see from you again. Still standing out by my mailbox waiting for that CD with all those wonderful Alaska pictures on it.... I have to keep my wives appitite for boating built up...particuarly animals and wildlife pictures...grin. Thanks for the note.
 
Hi Larry, if I can make it back in time I will see you guys at Cornet Bay Thursday night. If I can make it I think I'll stay at the state dock at Cornet and walk over to the marina.

Is there anyone leaving on Saturday for Blakely? Robbin was wondering if she could hitch a ride.

Whats up for sale mean? Are you first in line for the new TomCat 25? Sure hope it's something like that cause I'd hate to hear you don't have some kind of boat. An Old Salt without a C just doesn't sound right

Larry, hope you are right about the weather! We'll be launching as early on Friday afternoon as we can (I will probably go in late so I can leave early on Friday) from Cornet Bay, still likely to be 7:00 pm or so before we get on the water...will have the keg of beer on board anyway. Will still be without electronics except the laptop and CE and a handheld VHF...so counting on good weather!

We plan to launch Friday morning from TOA ,and motor up.. will look for you, give ya a call when we are in the area up there or keep in touch somehow... Now all we gotta do is get Daydream and Laurna Jo back from their little rendevous at the Factory....heheheh.
 
Knot Yacht Dale called me today to tell me he won't be able to attend Blakely as planned. He is having computer problems and wanted me to let you know that his space (A7) is open for someone else.
 
We feel bad that we can't join all of you. We've been looking forward to this outing for months now. My favorite nephew will be having a very serious surgery at this time and I want to be with him and his family. I hope we can join another outing sometime.
We plan to do some cruising in South Sound later in July as circumstances let us. We'll keep an eye out for C- Dory's.

Just talked to my crew and looks like we will make it out of Brownsville around noon Thursday. If we don't get way laid in Langley there's a good chance we will join you at Coronet Bay Thursday evening and make the run to Blakley on Friday morning. I'm getting anxious!

OK, we will have a dual watch on channels 16 / 68...what time do you anticipate being in the neighborhood of Deception Pass?

I think that I will leave the south sound on Wed morning and go as far as ?????. (The retirement pace :wink: ) Kingston, Everett, Langley or maybe all the way to Deception Pass State Park. If I don't arrive at DPSP on Wed I will be there sometime Thurs. I'll plan on going to Blakely with the group out of Cornet Bay on Friday AM. I have reservations for Friday-Sunday nights at the marina at Blakely.

I will keep my eye out for other C-Dorys on the way and monitor 16/68. This will be a great trip. Looking forward to a wonderful time. :hot :beer :tea :dog :hug :hug2 and great food! Robbi

If all goes as plan...(heheh a real shot in the dark!), we should be up there around 1 or 2 ish.... but will talk to you whether by 16 or 68 or by the ole cell..
