07/15 - 07/17 Blakely Island

Time frame on the Anna Leigh was start date of 3/14 and took her home on 5/5. They rushed her a little and probably will not do that again as they need a few more days to do a more thorough check-out. That is the reason Pat's boat was delayed a little. A good idea I think. My boat is at Les's this week for electronics.

Bambina's sharing slip A-8 with another 16, owned by the McDonalds. I couldn't be happier, and to heck with the diet!

I just hope they bring plenty of Big Macs, Quarter Pounders and fries. And please, don't any weenie PC types lecture us about what kind of oil they use to deep fry those award winning French delights.
:love

Just got off the phone with Norma --- she put me down for slip C13 and said that people may have to share slips. Glad you guys typed me into going.

I have no idea when to expect to take delivery of my boat. I believe that the factory started my boat April 21st. Last week Jeff said the hi-top was on and she would be heading for final assembly on Monday. He also said they might send photos Monday or Tuesday, but nothing yet --- I hope that there won't be any more problems at this stage in the game.

About a month ago I called the factory and learned about the hi-top delay. At that time Jeff said that it took them about 3 weeks to build a 22. It has been 3 weeks today, but I don't imagine that she's really ready yet. Once completed at the factory, she'll need to get shipped to Les's to have all the goodies installed.

Some time ago Les indicated that it might take 2 or 3 weeks to complete the work they'll do on my boat. But, and you know there was going to be a but, his shop is also very busy and they might not get to my boat right away. And then I still am waiting on Tanner to start the radar arch...

So, you can see that there is still much that needs to get done. At this point I can only hope that the boat will be ready sometime before July --- if not, there will be an early display of fireworks at my house.

Yep, we called Norma Sunday on the way back from Lopez. We'll be in slip C-9. Look forward to seeing all of you who attended the Lopez gathering and to meeting some more new faces at Blakely.

To be PC you'd know that this Macdonald is spelled in the Classic Scots style, M a c, little d, and hails from the Isle of Skye where a feast is more likely to be, not a mere sandwich but rather, a hearty bowl of Cullen Skink. Nonetheless, we'll be delighted to bestow upon you honorary membership of the Clan and go halves with the A-8 slip.

Thanks for the education, Bill. Meanwhile I'll have a talk with my ill-mannered twin about his choice of expression and cuisine.

OK, Daydream will be in C-5...reserved and confirmed, but somehow, you can never really be quite sure...Nerd Guys, can we program an automated reservation system for Norma?

C-Sick has a confirmation for C-12. PLan to check it out over Memorial Day. Looking forward to see all the Super Sized New Ships

Just signed up for this gathering. Sheryl and I are looking forward to having a great time and meeting everyone. Got off the phone with Norma at the resort and she put us in Slip A-12 with several other C-Dorys. She said the slip would accommodate a 42 footer so several C-Dorys could snuggle up together. Hope this won't be a problem for the others sharing this space.

Wow,

We're finally going to make one of these gatherings instead of just looking at the pictures and reading the posts. Norma assigned us to A-13 (45 ft. dock to be shared with others).

Can't wait to meet some of the great members of this site! :D

Hey Jim,
I too called this week and Norma also gave us A-12 so we'll be settled in together. I remember you from last year's run to Lopez Island and looking forward to seeing everyone again this year. I have gotten cheated out of the first two runs this year by work requirements but my boss promises me that he's going to leave me alone for the weekend of the Blakely Island trip.

till then,
Doug

Doug,
Looking forward to seeing you again. I think we will have the right formula for a great time. Great people, Good food, and of course, hopefully, good weather. Maybe even catching a salmonoid for the BBQ.

You'all gave us a scare about slips, so I called in a panic today.
We are gonna be in A-14, Norma told us,and yep they are just about full.
Looks like if Pat and Patty, along with all the other like minded :cocktail :beer :cocktail :tea types on C-Dock would like to share a libation just walk on over the the A Dock and let's mix'em.

Don't know, but your neighbors will be two comely little critters whose occupants don't snore, make a bunch of noise, let their dogs debauch your lawn, talk too much, or chase women. However, one reportedly enjoys garlic.

We had such a good time last year that we're coming back again this summer. We'll be in slip A-7, that's about where we were last summer.
We're looking forward to seeing everybody again.

Well, I plugged in to join yall on this Blakely Gathering. Now, I am going to play with flight schedules/dates/prices into Seattle, or some local give me a better place if there is one to fly into for this gathering. Can fly out on Thursay and back on Sunday or Monday.

STARCRAFTOM: Tom,, Thanks for the invite back on 9May05 for me to join you on your vessel... If that offer is still good I will for sure take it.

Will work other issues on car rental/place to stay as things evolve...
Talked with Jeff from the factory...and a TC255 event may happen on/during this gathering... I sure hope so. I would love to get on board one for sure.

Going to Hilton Head SC to deliver a bride the weekend before on my boat for an old military friend. Should be a neat gig with water front wedding in Hilton Head. Then, get the boat back home in Bama, and fly to the gathering.

Tom, looks like I better find a piece of Madrona to whip up a fish stick for you. I will not be at the Blakely event I am sorry to say. Will be in SD that week for Kates family reunion. I will send it with Pat and Patti assuming I get it done.

Robbi, are you going to be at Blakely? I still have yours in my truck.
