I am planning on being there. Heading out tonight for the weekend. My son is in town for a few days so we are taking him out. I have to work a few days next week but hope to launch again next Thursday evening and hang out for a few days. Maybe until early Monday morning to miss the Sunday night launch ramp crowds.

Bring a tarp of some kind that we can put up if it is raining. I'm thinking positive though and already have sunscreen. I am loaded and leaving mid morning tomorrow for points east of Whittier. I plan to make Naked Island Friday night on the return trip. See you off Lone Island Saturday where I plan to look for some halibut for dinner.
One last item. Cocktail sauce and an oyster knife. I am pretty sure we can find some oysters.

Yes we had a gathering. Hope to post some pictures soon, but some of the group are still out. Let's see if I can remember who was there:
Shiroz, Coho, Bidarka, Shade Tree, and Becky Ann.
To start things off I ran around to South Bay and got 4 dozen oysters. Shade Tree and Becky Ann brought some shrimp and halibut, Coho was the official photographer, and Shiroz brought the fire wood. The beach party lasted almost 4 hours, at least long enough for someone to fall in (Caroline at the beginning), and ended with a stroll through the woods or for some people just where was that trail. It is a nice place to just sit on the beach and watch the lagoon or just through the trees and look out over the sound. The bugs weren't too bad and the hiking is excellent on the far side of the lagoon. I'll post some of the pictures in the gathering album if I can find it. If not look in my album.
