Hi Brats,

Well, I'm east-bound at about 5:30 tomorrow morning and headed for the CBGT. I'll roll in mid-afternoon or so.

Unfortunately, Marcia is heading to San Antonio for a veterinary meeting that is always scheduled this weekend. In the past it was in Baltimore or she was able to leave early and fly into Baltimore and I would run across the Bay and pick her up. Sorry I have to go it alone this time.

See you all soon.

Regards,

Nick

I'm sorry to say that we won't be able to attend as planned. Have a great time everyone, and we'll try again next year.
Brady & Nanci

Next time,Brady and Nanci...ok?

They are arriving...about six boats here already, including the infamous Byrdman in his plush Rosborough!
Several went out to dinner at Rock Hall's best seafood place, Waterman's Crab House, last night...
Today is visiting and watching new arrivals make the turn into Lankford from the Chester River.
Tonight all are invited, as our guests, to a jazz concert at my non profit, The Mainstay...players from New York, LA and Washington play the 20th Century Songbook...and they really swing.
Tomorrow we expect the rest...total of about 27 boats I think.

The motor home is fueled. Sat AM has a work detail at our condo. We will be leaving for the trip down to Rock Hall about noon.

The spoons are in tune and ready to help. See you soon.

Well, it is Sunday, and boats are leaving...We had a great time...27 boats, including Rangers and Byrdman's elegant Rosborough. Sail Annapolis sent over a boat for show too. Great food, and the kazoo band did a "stand in place" concert (too hot to march...96 F)
Chesapeake music, Fred with his spoons, Mikey on electric bass...altogether a great weekend. C dory people are very special.
We hope to host the 5th Annual next year...and make it a grand reunion..shooting for 50 boats!!

Terraplane (Tom)

Charlie: we toasted you often...and missed you greatly. Put the knees on ice and be sure to come next year...

Hello,
I did some lurking Saturday at the C-Brat gathering that took place at the Langford Bay Marina on the Chesapeake. Very nice place, nice people and we will return with a boat sometime. My wife and I talked with some of the c-brats and we took some pictures and I will try to post them. Great people looks like we are sold on a 25' cruiser.
D.D.

Administrators: Just getting up from driving home all day so please give us a photo folder for some to post some pics if it does not already exist.

Tom: Thanks for hosting us in one of many of your local marina's. I especially appreciated the the dinners, the jazz and the many, many laughs.

Anne & Doug: Thanks for your hard work and organizational efforts. See there...you can heard cats! I saw it with my own eyes.

Terry: Many, Many thanks for all of the food and spirits you once again brought down from your home area of NY. You, Mike and Bonnie put a lot of work into this and past events and I thank you.

Charlie: Man, Sorry you were not there and hope the knees are healing well. Would have been glad to roll you about the marina set up if you could have made it. See you again in Seattle, or, come on down for a spell some time. Thank you for your time and effort to make this event what it was.

John: Thanks for the quick run to Chester and your office. Great lunch stop to. It is great to follow known good knowledge of the locals. Thank you for the work you do. I had no idea. I do want to bring Sherryl back up for a visit at some point.

Pat & Linda: Thanks for the horn. I will use it proudly when in marinas feeling a bit horny. (it is a real horn folks...get your minds out of the gutter. )

Other in attendance: What a great extended family this C-Brat community is. A wonderful trip indeed. It was great to finally get to meet many of you whom I have only spent time with on line here. I enjoyed our time on and around the docks. The laughter was needed.

It was great to see some other folks I have traveled with, attended other gatherings with, .....and the many more laughs and good times.

The nice storm on Saturday night made me feel right at home. It is truly a great group of folks.

Yes, I do plan to put together something during the fall for another Nashvile gathering. Maybe more of the Cumberland, maybe some of the TN river, maybe a mix of both. I have to mix Auburn football, Austin Peay State Univ football, and the C-Brats to come up with good dates.

Some other folks have opened up their home waters too for gatherings and I would love to attend those too.

Again....thanks to the many in attendance

GREAT FACILITY AND GREAT FOLKS!!

Byrdman

I would also like to thank everyone that worked so hard and had a lot of Hours in this. Byrdman named them all and I second to that, and any one else that was involved.
Had a great time on the Chester River of MD

we enjoyed the drive to and from rock hall. had a terrific time meeting new friends, exploring rock hall as well as the chester river, including chestertown.

I love that place! :)

Sorry to miss the event, I know it was a good time for everyone present.

Thanks to all the committee people--just a super job.

Tom I like the 5 years-50 boats. a good goal.

Mr Grey liked all the attention, but, he was a little mad at us for not sharing a crab ball with him.

Fred, Pat, and Mr. Grey(the cat)

Hi Brats,

I just wanted to add my thanks to all who made the East Coast Gathering such a success. It was good to finally meet friends from this site face-to-face for the first time and get to know them even better than before.

After relating the events that took place, Marcia and I have decided to attend the NC CBGT this September.

Regards,

Nick

Ditto on the thanks to the committee for a great event. We enjoyed the food, the entertainment and the company. We were especially impressed with the sound and light show Sat. night.

We look forward to "fifty at five."

So glad everyone made it home safely. It was a great time and our thanks to Tom for everything. The committee wants to thank all who helped with the work of setting up tables and taking them down again. Thank you all for your enthusiasum for your beloved C-Dorys. Next year sounds great with the Fifty at Five theme.
Thanks to Terry and Bonnie for the hot dogs, wine and morning coffee.
A big thank you to Charlie for the spreadsheet info and name tags. Sorry you and Sally couldn't be with us this year but start getting fixed up for next year.
The shirts are great and a big thank you to John and Liz and also for leading the trip to Chestertown.
We again made new friends and hope to see everyone next year. We are already thinking up new ideas.
We have come a long way from the first Gathering when we thought we would maybe get 6-8 boats. The Chesapeake Gathering has turned out to be a huge success and we owe it all to those who attended. Next year will be our "Fifth". Lets make it our best yet!!!!

I appreciate the accolades, but as anyone who has worked with me in any of my endeavors realizes, i have the knack of surrounding myself with talented and hard working people...They have all been thanked here, but I want to add my thanks...

I'm kind of intrigued by the idea of attracting fifty boats next year...maybe more Rangers too...

We want to make it clear that the event is a C dory event, but that the umbrella also covers Rangers, and former C Dory owners who have moved on to other craft.(Like Byrdman's Rosborough: Would anyone question that Byrdman is the "classic" C Dory personality? I think not.)...So chime in with ideas. We need your input.
