Howdy All-
Been all over hell's half acre for the last few weeks, but really looking forward to getting home for real very soon. Also looking forward to getting C's the Day in our grubby little hands. Checked in on her on Saturday and saw a beautiful Honda 150 and a spunky Honda 15 w/bracket hanging from her transom. Also saw her for the first time with a bow rail and the radar arch, and the name painted on the side. By God, it's finally starting to look like the C-Dory I've been dreaming about! We'll hope to have her by the end of the week for a little tooling around over the holiday, and a shakedown or two prior to the Gathering.
I've actually laid eyes on the hallowed Halcyon, and have had the very good fortune to meet El and Bill! What great folks, and I look forward to spending more time with them soon. They made an interesting observation... With 15 to 20 C-Dorys on site at Cutter, and probably another 20 or so in the local waters (all shapes, sizes, and colors), I guess we kinda take it for granted how many of these fine craft there are on the Middle River complex. But when veterans like El and Bill say they've, "never seen so many C-Dorys in their life," I guess we really have a lot of C-Dorys here. So, just to relay Gary and Ruthie's invitation again, if after our Lankford session, you want to have a little cruise to Middle River, tie up, use the pool etc., there's some great folks, good food, and if you haven't gotten enough of a C-Dory fix at Lankford Bay, we have one helluva a lot of C-Dorys here too.
If it's not too late, please put Jen and I down for crabs. Look forward to seeing everyone very soon. Glad you're getting Sally's Sister sorted out, Tom. Can't wait to see you and her again and hope to meet the rest of her crew too.
Cheers!
