06/03 - 06/05 Eastern Shore, Maryland gathering

Tom Terraplane is off to Hungary on Tuesday...return on May 3, pick up Sally's Sister on May 4...

T Shirt orders are in...i did order a few extras in all sizes.

If you have ordered a shirt, and for some reason have to cancel (weather, health, work, etd.) please send me an address and a check for $16.50 for the shirt and mailing...otherwise, we'll just take the payment when you get to Lankford Bay.

With the help of others this is coming together. I look forward to meeting all of you...look for the hat which says "Terraplane"...it'll be me.

OK, I'm new at this, but someone send me a private message and offered "The Fran-Sea" overnite and parking accomadations on our trip North near the entrence to Rt 13 and the Chesapeake Bay Bridge & Tunnel. I tried to reply but only suceeded in Emailing myself. I thought I saved the original message, but alas, it's not there. SOooo, you know who you are and we are very greatful, however my Delorme mapping program has us stopping somewhat south of the entrence to the bridge, furthermore, since I can't even find your original message, it's doubtful that I'd actually show up on your door step, but thanks anyway. :embarrased

Fran-Sea - Roger and Fran: You probably sent your message to the person that sent you a "PM". If you clicked on the e-mail response box rather than the PM response box, there is an option that is automatically checked, if you don't uncheck it, that sends you a copy of your e-mail at your listed e-mail address. You'll probably hear from that person in a day or so.

I got your e-mail to me about your needs and have listed them in our spreadsheet! Thanks a lot, look forward to meeting both of you in June.

Charlie

OK Folks, trying to complete our information spreadsheet . I still need confirmation from 4 potential attendees.

Alma's Only
Half/Piint
Orca
Wanderer

I sent PMs to them about a week ago and have not seen a response, either via PM or via e-mail. I apologize if I missed your response or if you missed my PM. Let me know one way or another. We've got 27 boats, 60 Adults, 3 kids :female , 6 dogs :dog and 1 cat :cat to keep track of.

Once I get this thing done, I'd be glad to send to anyone that wants it.

Alma's Only has reserved a slot at the marina for Friday and Saturday nights, and will be attending. Please let me know if the marina shows otherwise. We've also placed our t-shirt order.

Current plans are to trailer the boat to the marina area on Thursday, then spend that night on the ball at Annapolis, waiting for the first mate to arrive by train on Friday. Then, we'll both come across, and join the group.

Charlie..... thanks for the info. regarding the list, I for sure would like one, as it would be helpful in trying to remember names and getting people's names and boats linked up correctly..... Thanks

Charlie

Thanks for contacting me to follow-up on the gathering. I learned last week that I have a work conflict that will keep me attending. My boss rescheduled a meeting originally planned for May, so I won't have the time to make the cruise.

I hope everyone has a great time and I look forward to seeing the pictures.

Steve

Charlie --
Wanderer is with us cruising the Tennessee River. He plans to come to the Gathering and has slip reservations for Friday and Saturday nights. He says to say "Hi" to you from Penny and George.

Captain's Choice.... Charlie, I just down loaded the spread sheet... Thanks for the effort. I will print it up before arriving so I have a "crib" sheet on boats and names of owners.

Under notes for our listing, we need to park our trailer in Tom's lot for the duration and while we'll be staying the full time at Lundford's, we do expect to be in the area longer and then up to New Jersey for a few days.

Roger and Fran, have added your requirement to the notes section. I'll post an update about once a week so don't print it out until the bitter end.

I'll also do an excerpt of names/boat names/homeport, etc that will be a little more friendly to print and use as a crib sheet.

That'll be up in a week or so! Look forward to meeting everyone!!

Captain's Choice ... Charlie:

I will arrive with Alma's Only on the trailer about mid-day on Thursday, and will be on the hook Thursday night. I'm open to suggestions as to where to spend the night, and would welcome joining anyone else who will be in the area, and has plans or ideas. Our slip reservations are for Friday and Saturday nights. We will pull the boat, and head back to Richmond, sometime Sunday afternoon.

Dayna has some classes to teach Friday afternoon, and will arrive in Washington, D.C. by train Saturday morning. I'll drive down and pick her up, and return to the gathering eager to introduce my better half.

I'm available to help with launching, moving boats, trailers or people, running errands, or whatever else might be of assistance. Just let me know.

Thanks for all of your efforts, and we'll look forward to joining the group.

Tom, welcome home, at least you're supposed to be back tomorrow!

As you can see, not much action on this thread since you've been gone, we're pretty well organized. Keep us posted on Sally's Sister, hopefully she's ready and waiting for you at Cutter!

Let us know about the trip, the gathering is only a month away.

Charlie

Last time I was at Cutter, Sally's Sister was in the shop getting rigged and ready. I imagine she's well on her way if not already done. Quite exciting to be sure. Only problem is that C's the Day is sitting without C-Dory company next to a 40' Sea Ray that makes her feel "small." Oh well, she'll be big at heart that's for sure. Eager for our turn in the rigging shop and looking forward to the gathering!

Cheers,

TJ & Jen, only if there were two Sea Ray's there would the CD be "small". They outnumber/outsize nearly everything on the water!  :thup

Glad to hear that Tom Terraplane's boat is there, hopefully he's still coming back from Hungary today, bet he's got about 500 (or more) "new posts" to go through!

Look forward to seeing you both and all at the Gathering, one month away now!

Charlie

Quick update on Sally's Sister (hope this is OK, Tom)... I was at Cutter today doing some work on C's the Day. I took a quick walk around the beautiful floating docks to stretch my legs after finishing my work, and I spied a few C-Dories tied up. Walked over to have a look-see, and there was Sally's Sister in all her glory, floating, gloating, and looking great!!! She's an absolutely beautiful boat, with a camper back, and resplendent in her green trim.

I must say, very well done, Tom, she can't wait to meet you. There couldn't be a finer "committee boat" for our gathering next month. What a great welcome back to the USA she'll be for Tom.

I'll likely be at Cutter for the next two days working on our boat (installing tunes and other electronics) so stop by and say hello to the cabernet 25 on the trailer, alas still without motors :sad...

We can't wait to meet all of you at the gathering. Oh, Luna Pearl, a very handsome 25 with black trim and at least some of her family will be joing us at Lankford Bay, great to have you aboard, Doug.

As always, Cheers!
