Gene, I'll have to talk more to you at the gathering about blogging. I wanted to dohe same, having some friends and family that do not do Facebook. I almost started with Google+, but think it does more of a public news feed, and I didn't really want to have my blogs go out like that. In the end, I decided for this trip to just use my thread on the Inside Passage 2018 at C-Brats. Colby

I tried Wordpress, didn't get it. Went to Blogger, piece of cake. I blogged 226 days on our Great Loop cruise. Check it our on http://daydreamsloop.blogspot.com.

Change of plans due to weather and tide timing, we are launching from Port Orchard near home and running the distance by water! See you soon...

Greg

Rosanne and I are on Midnight Flyer in Poets Cove tonight. No problem with customs by land on Canadian Hwy 15. Launched at Ladysmith and good ride here. We'll do customs again in Roche Harbor tomorrow, then on to Friday Harbor by tomorrow afternoon. Beautiful day today. Hope it stays this way for a while! Colby

Pat & Patti, We so enjoyed your blog of the Great Loop. Good job. I think we could take some lessons from you.

Colby, glad you are in the water and headed to Friday Harbor. Looks like we will be in FH sometime today. We had lots of chores to do in B’Ham. Those are done and we can shove off this morning. Windy now but increasing this afternoon.

i am going to show up to FHCBGT on Checkpoint II. Saturday potluck and 1 night. Have to leave early Sunday.

The Anacortes boat show starts today thru weekend. In case anyone wants to buy a Ranger tug, it will be there. ARRIVE BY BOAT Contact the Cap Sante Marina Harbormaster on 66A for slip assignment or call 360-293-3134 to make a reservation.

Really enjoying this thread. Harold there will be a bunch of Brats on gne dock, just have some good line to toss to them and they will get you secured. Heather, I'm sure you eat different than I do, (I spent 3 months on my boat and took nearly all my food with me, but I was single on board too,) but it is possible to even go without a cooler, but for the few days you are there, you can probably take what you need in one medium size cooler, and have some to take home.

Colby, good job sorting out the logistics, and the crossings.

Stay safe, you all, and enjoy. Really sorry SleepyC can't make this one, but will see some of you on the water later. Don't forget to check out the Race to Alaska webb site, and the new race for this year, Seventy48. It's people powered, from Olympia to Port Townsend in 48 hours. Really interesting safety boat process for this one.

Have a great time, stay safd and enjoy. Big thank you to Greg, Cindy ans Aven for all their efforts again this year.

:( I was so looking forward to meeting all of you and your awesome boats! Unfortunately, there's been a death in the family this week. Blue Heron will have to roost in the driveway for a few days.

I'm new here and have only had the boat for a few weeks. I've been out in Port Townsend Bay a few times and I'm really looking forward to a trip to the San Juans and beyond. I'm especially interested in buddy boating around the area, so if you are near Port Townsend, get in touch.

I have a lot to learn and this is the fountain of knowledge! I will read all I can, as soon as I can!

Everyone have a fantastic weekend in Friday Harbor! See you next year!

There is a good batch of C-Brats already here who arrived yesterday, including us. Easy cruise over mostly flat water from Blaine Harbor, ~12 knots at 3,800 RPM with the Apollo 15 pitch stainless prop purchased in Harbor Springs, MI, the Apalachicola 11 pitch is now stowed as a spare, and Daydream is performing just the way she did before we started the Loop loaded to the hilt! Colby helped us get tied up, Colby and Roseanne are one boat over (Patrick and Kim are next to us), Fred and i helped Harald and Heather get tied up. "Latecomers" (i.e., people who arrive on the scheduled day!) will find a few open slips on H and G is mostly empty. Let the fun begin!

Yes Pat, Caryn and I will be latecomers to the party. Change of plans. We'll be leaving early tomorrow morning from Edmonds, arriving before noon.

Hope there's still a spot open on G dock! :thup

Well Susan and I are finishing packing up and looking to head out about noon today from Cornet bay. Hope to be there in time for dinner out so save us a seat.

Judy and I will be at Friday Harbor on Saturday, but unfortunately have to leave our amazing recently purchased C-Dory behind as we are picking it up at end of this month. What do we need to bring, and are there any Saturday events or an itinerary? We will be in Friday Harbor just for the day, and are really looking forward to seeing all the beautiful C-Dorys!
