05/16 - 05/19 - North Carolina Loop

It was great to see old friends and meet new ones at the pre-cruise dinner last night. Baums are "tremendous hosts" indeed. So sorry not to be going with the group this time. We wish them fair winds and following seas. (Are there "seas" in the swamp?)

What an absolutely wonderful time we had!!! Great cruising, great breakfasts, great weather (mostly), and most importantly great people! This was the first time Mary and I experienced locking and with some advance education provided during the wonderful dinner at the home of Steve & Joan, we felt ready and passed through all 3 locks problem free. We also learned from our other Brats more techniques for safe and secure boating, as well as just had a ton of FUN. Thanks to everyone!! And a special thanks to my wife Mary for enjoying boating so much!
