05/15 - 05/17 - 2015 Friday Harbor Gathering

Weather permitting, planning for a Saturday morning crossing from Anacortes. Since the 16 Angler has no accommodations for sleeping (yet), will be staying in a hotel room up town Sat night. Friday Harbor is the original home port of my 1990 Angler, and where I purchased from original owner 2 years ago, so this will be a home coming of sorts. Looking forward to attending my first event.

I'm planning on heading over Friday afternoon or evening. I'll probably be too late for dinner but will catch up with the group later.

Greg, I'll bring some 2015 Waggoner Guides that you can give away as prizes.

Sounds good Sam and we do have you on the moorage list as it stands although I am not sure what the best spot for the tug would be. Maybe the inner breakwater?

Last call for nametags, and Christenings! Send me a PM of you are in need.

We head out late tomorrow,

Greg

Hi Greg, I'll stay over at the SYC outstation and won't need moorage at the marina.

OK add one more to the gathering. My buddy here in Victoria is a proud new owner of a 22 from his son in Seattle. He has brought the boat to Victoria and will be coming over with me on Friday for the gathering.

I am assuming he and his wife will be coming with me to the dinner at the Rumor mill. So add 2 more to that event.

I was going to stay at the RVYC docks but am now going to tie up at the Harbor docks with him so add 2 more boats to the Friday Harbor dock boats.

Monica, Jenny and I will be heading over with Natural C-lection from Cadboro Bay Friday evening. We will be too late for the Rumor Mill dinner, but should be there by 7 or so.
I think we still have name tags from previous years.
Rainger, I paddle by C-Hawk once or twice a week on my kayak as I live about 500 metres from your slip at RVYC!
Looks like we will have a good sized Canuck contingent!

Wigeon, a 1995 Nordic Tug 26 will be attending and would like to go to the Friday night dinner if there is still room. Last I heard, there were 17 openings. Also, if it's not too late, I would like to have a name tag. I should arrive Friday Harbor by 1300 Fri. and will be happy to be on a line handling crew. I will call on CH 68 on the way in. I will also be on Ham Radio VHF freq 146.52 simplex. Perhaps Pat will be be on freq. I look forward to seeing old friends and new.

Ham call sign is KG7TFK or King George 7 The Fish King

So the other boat that is coming over with me supposedly has never had a name. Maybe we can persuade Lou and Roxy to give it a name at the gathering and we can all have a christening of her.

Yea Mike I decided to put C-Hawk in the water for the summer at the club. Less hassle launching and now using the boat 3 to 4 times a week.

Good day all. Harvey who's on Sleepy-C phoned me from Friday Harbor (it sounds like Roger & Cheryl on 'In Cahoots' are also there w/ Harvey) and asked me to let folks know that a "Boat Safety Fair & Marine Swap Meet" will be going on in Friday Harbor on Saturday from 0900-1600 if anybody is interested.

The website for this event can be seen at http://www.portfridayharbor.org/may-16th-boat-safety-fair-marine-swap-meet/.

Hope all who are going to this CBGT have a safe and uneventful cruise to and from!

Take care,
Dan, Tanya, and Hannah on C-Renity

Cori and Toni, most people are on their way already or already there. I would suggest just turning up and joining the crowd around H dock. The potluck is Saturday evening.

Patti and I hope this is the best FH gathering ever! We're sorry we can't be there to share the good times. I'm doing the sun dance down here in California and hope there is enough energy to make sure you have a good weather weekend. C-Cakes is now "Ticket" and should be in FH today. Please welcome her and her new owners Brooks and Judy from Port Townsend.

Miss you all.

We miss you too Patti and Barry. Lots of boats here so far. Weather is fabulous. Thank you for hosting such a wonderful event for so many years.
