Hi CBRATS, We are attempting to plan our schedule for next year and the first important event for us will be the Friday Harbor and possibly Anacortes "gathering. Any idea on the date for the Friday Harbor gathering??? Many thanks.

Just wondering if there has been any confirmation on this date? Barry? We are looking forward to the new season already.

May 14-15-16 are the dates for the 2010 Friday Harbor CBGT. I told Friday Harbor to expect 25-30 boats with the proviso that the numbers will likely go up some as we get closer. There will be a Grady-White rendezvous there that same weekend so getting good numbers for attendance as early as possible will help. Friday Harbor is, as always, very happy to have us and will bend over backwards to help make the weekend good. The West Marine store manager has also promised to have some special deals and an event at the store. Now if my direct line to the weather gods is still working....

Barry,

Thanks for posting on the date. Count SleepyC in on the list, and if there is anything we can do to help out would be glad to. Will be watching for this site and updates.

Barry,

Maybe we should get a sign up sheet for this one started. As people start planning their boating season, they'll want to use FH as a kick-off. The following week is always a good time to tour the San Juans or Gulf Islands. A great time guaranteed! :thup

Thanks to Bill and Mike the Friday Harbor signup page is now up with exactly one brat (aside from C-Cakes) prepared to face the bitter weather in Friday Harbor that will occur if anyone should actually see me doing the secret weather dance.

I heard a rumor that he does it in the buff....I have NO desire to see this dance!

My wife may have a different opinion. :disgust

Looks like we are going to have to miss this one, as we are having my mother's memorial service in Salt Lake City on May 15th. First time we'll miss one!

Just talked with the Friday Harbor folks. They are holding 30 spots for us right now. I told Jeremy we'd probably go over that number. Debbie at the Downrigger is also on board for another Friday night dinner. Will work with the West Marine manager in the next few days. He said they'd do something for us this next year. 22 boats signed up at last count.

Just to bring this to the top. We now have 26 boats signed up. I just got off the phone with Kirk, the West Marine manager in Friday Harbor. They will have free coffee and donuts for us on Saturday AM and will give us a discount when we identify ourselves as C-Brats/C-Dory people. They are also donating 3 prizes for the great C-Dory trivia contest (start thinking up those questions!!) We will give a prize to the C-Brat coming the farthest distance to the gathering, a prize for the best trivia question (judged by the loudest cheers for the question!), and a few others depending on what I can come up with. Downriggers will host us again for the Friday night dinner. It will be like last year with a separate menu for us and we will plan on dinner starting at 5:30PM. Kirk and his wife will join us at Downriggers for the Friday evening dinner.

Colobear, Please sign up the boat Jesse James, Helena Montana with the Friday Harbor group. Jesse James is a 30 ft Eaglecraft piloted by my cousin Dick and wife Judy. They have been at the event before. For some reason I can't sign them up. Thank you! Roger Juntunen, In Cahoots, Idaho

Roger, I will certainly count them in the group but I think they would have to be a member of the C-Brats before it would be possible to list them as a group member. That's why neither you nor I can add them to the group. It doesn't really matter. They're in!

Nearly 30 boats signed up! We're on the way but I have two requests:

The last two years we have run short of table space to put food on. So, if you have a boat size table would you please bring it. It would make things a lot easier.

In the past we've been able to give away factory provided goodies at the potluck. I don't expect any of those this year so here's the second request, What would you think of brats bringing a boating white elephant to be given away at the great C-Brat trivia contest (as an inducement the bringer would get to think up and ask an evil trivia question! ). By white elephant I mean something relatively nice, something you'd be happy to get. It could be gently used but usable. I'd appreciate your thoughts on this and if enough people think it is a good idea we could do it. Of course no matter what we will have a trivia contest.

Barry, first off I have a table that's about 4'X2' w/ folding legs I can bring. Second count me in on the give-a-way. I just may need some help on a question.
