Is there a cruise to Lopez this year or has it fallen out of favor? Among the benefits of Fisherman Cove, I remember free moorage from previous years. That still happening? Are we making reservations?

We're hoping to have Baveras, our new Ranger 25 ( hull #2523 I think) ready by then.

Sounds like you just volunteered to call Kathy at the Islander and arrange for the group, Mac! We won't be able to attend in any case, we'll be in Stinson Beach for son Barrett's wedding.

You are in line for a C-Ranger 25 ? You are a Lucky fish. We hope to make Lopez this year. Had to miss out last year, :cry It's always a special gathering.

I called Lopez Islander and made my reservation on Friday and Kathy said she hadn't yet heard from anyone about the C-Brats gathering there on opening day weekend.

This gathering is a real do-it-yourself deal.

Call Kathy at 360-468-2233 or 800-736-3434 to make your reservation. Tell her you are with the C-Brats. The moorage for Friday and Saturday nights is free, after that you must pay for the moorage.

Once we have some people reserving moorage, we can ask for a sign-up sheet here on the site. Last year the wind blew like crazy so be sure to moor your boat bow to the West. And try not to moor on the outer side of the dock.

A lot of people had dinner in the restaraunt on Friday night and we had a pot luck on the dock on Saturday night.

count us in.love the islander and will be ghosting roger this year to his shrimp spots. did not do good last year for the little buggers. I will call the resort tomorrow for our dock space.
 
Larry, good on ya! These deals don't jut happen - somebody has to call, set things up, let the folks know the Brats are coming! Have a great time, wish we coud have been able to come...

Those who cannot boat out to Lopez can still come on the ferry from Anacortes. Lopez Islander Resort is also a hotel with restaurant and bar. Here is their web site: http://www.Lopezislander.com

Dock space.....Larry remember we can squeeze three C-Dorys into the space of one 36' trawler :wink
If I remember right, Lopez is the kick off point for your cruise up the inside passage :thup

Yeah, if they are three 12 ft C-Dorys!

Thats why I got my reservation in early. There is also a yacht club that's going to be there.

Tour reservations are being taken!
 
May 4th - 6th, the same weekend the Seattle Yacht Club does the official "opening day" stuff. A great event, last year it featured a boat actually sinking in the marina - and being brought back up, which was quite entertaining to watch (not, I'm sure, for the hapless owner). Kathy provides free mooring for the weekend.

Called and made the reservation today - no problem. We're planning to get there on Friday May 4th, leaving Sunday May 6th for ??.

There is still room - but call now to reserve your space!

And , we do still need a sign up sheet.... please....
