04/10 - 04/11 - Cathlamet Cruise

I was sad not to be able to be there this weekend. I wanted to learn to fish the Columbia from all of the experienced C-Brats. But I was very happy this morning to see the picture of Pat holding that bright, beautiful springer. Congratulations Pat, I hope that it's the first of many pictures of you holding up a fish for the camera.

I also can not thank Larry and Lyle enough for the time and instruction on the Helen O. I didn't know that getting up at 5AM and stumbling around in the dark could be that much fun.
The weather was near perfect and the comraderie was great. Nice to meet Renae and Tom and Teri and Jon.

Looking forward to Lopez.

Great pix folks. How 'bout someone putting some names with those faces so us right coasters can put the two together in case we ever run across you folks! I can tell the fishes and the pup, just need the human types.

thanks

Charlie

Well, it looks to me like the many faces and paws of Pat Anderson

Sure looks like you all had a great time. Wish I had been there.

Hey, I'll save the Tuna salad for next time... er, no maybe not. But I may have to come up with another dish as we may be a lil tired of it by then  . Besides, I gotta come up with something to rival the Road Kill Grill expertise of B~C
I can't believe I missed the beer guys! double bummer!

I have decided to not tempt fate and just show up at the next gathering I want to attend. It is probably a good thing I wasn't able to make it as I can't afford a new tow rig and while this one was just over the boarder it was technically in Washington...

Great pics and I am enjoying reading all about it. Thank you all for sharing :thup

I'm kind of fond of that pic also. Pat could start another career as a photographer, every where you turn, there's Pat with his camera, what a hoot.

Ok here we go WD Jon, a list of the reasons Catchalimit was a blast
1) great folks
2) great weather
3) THE FOOD, the shrimpy rice, salmon, mushrooms, beer, everything was so good
4) the free morning ramp entertainment
5) the glitz, glitter, glamor and night life of Cathalamet (just like Vegas)
6).....

Ok, I've spent some time in Cathlamet, and don't remember any glitz, glitter or glamor!
You guy must have brought it with ya.
Brews Brothers, :smiled those are some good lookin fish. :thup
See ya all at Lopez.

Nightlife... the nightlife lasts till 9pm when everyone goes to sleep because we’re all dog tired from getting up so early to fish! The moon was still in the sky Sunday morning as we left the dock. Makes for a lovely picture, I’ll try to post them.

C-Dory people are the best. Cathlamet was wonderfully fun, thanks to all of you. Great to meet new friends and see those from last year. I would have liked more time to chat... fishing is such a distraction. Next year...

The food was fabulous. Hope to see some new recipes on the site. And the beer... I’d read something about beer but had no idea we’re talkin’ such quality! Thanks for sharing, Pat and David.

The glow is still with us. In fact, Tom went out today and bought a dozen more spin 'n glows after watching the guy next to us in the little boat catch so well with them.

Mike & Kay, our thoughts were with you.

We had a terrific time at the cruise :D. Wish it could have been longer so we will try to get there on Friday next year.

Thanks go out to all for the great company and food :smilep. The only thing that would have made this trip better would have been to actually catch a fish, but with those brew brothers slinging them in the Hellen-O like old time tuna huckers I don't think there was any left. Just kiddin' guys :wink. I'm sure Pat & David will never forget their first salmon(s)(s)(s).

Took the ferry back across to Oregon thanks to the tip from Lynn Marie Tim. Well worth the $6, and a much easier drive from there.

Okay B~C,
6) David & Pat's first salmon
7) The owner of the B&B we stayed at
8) The looks from other fishermen when surrounded by multiple trolling C-Dory's :smileo
9) Everyones loving concern for the TyBoo crew
10) Brew Brothers Brew
11) The Hooters girls showing up for the pot-luck
12).........

I put a few pics in the cruise album.

Jon

OK, I went through the photos I took at Cathlamet this past weekend and tried to identify everyone in each pic in the caption. I see someone (David I think) went through and added some description info as well, a little duplication of info, but anyhoo now the Right Coasties can put faces with names and vessels!

I will take a wild guess and say those pics are from Tom or Rene on Primative. I grabbed 62 (the pilings anyway, is that the right number?) for my "Pretty Pix" directory which is my slide show screen saver! Good job, I wish I had taken that one!

Bill or Mike,
Is it possible to copy a picture out of page 6 of the Cathlamet album and put it in the Denebola album? B~C took the only known action shot of us on the water and I would like to have a copy.

Thanks :hug, Jon

Jon - it is VERY easy to copy a picture from the web site. Just get it to full size on your screen and then right-click. One of the choices on the menu that pops up is "Save picture as" - click on that, and you will get the usual "Save as" dialog and you can save the picture to your computer. You can then upload it to your own album, put it in you personal collection on your 'puter, or whatever.

Yup, Pat, those sunset shots are mine. Glad you & Ken like 'em. And thank you for taking that nice shot of Tom and I!

Do you add your name to photos as you send? I just figured that happened automatically. Maybe I need to change settings or something.

I've more pictures to post, sorry for the delay, the group send doesn't work and I find as I transmit individually some pics don't want to send from my computer here at work. I'll try downsizing them. Jon, I have some of Denebola you might like.

Larry - your fender ended up on Daydream - I guess when Denebola got moved when we went out Sunday morning. Will you be at Lopez?
