If you are interested in attending this event, please reserve the following 2015 dates on your calendar for an upcoming California C-Dory Gathering:

13th Annual Delta/Bay Extravaganza
Wednesday, March 25, 2015 to Sunday, March 29, 2015

More information will be forthcoming. This is a save the date "post-card" reminder. Hopefully, a sign-up event sheet can be created for this gathering. For now, please indicate on this thread if you are going to this event and signing up.

Please do not sign up unless you can commit to the entire event. You might look at the last 12 years of threads if you want to get some idea of what this gathering is like.

There is a ten (10) boat maximum for this event because of Duck Club and San Francisco marina space limitations. The first ten boats signed up will be able to go.

Please note that this event is at least one month earlier than normal, and even two weeks earlier than last year. This is because of the unavailability of San Francisco marina reservations at later dates. Also, with our drought conditions this earlier date may be better for Delta water conditions.

Right now two boats are already signed up, namely Dinner Belle II and Pounder. There are only eight spaces left!

This is arguably the oldest, most long lived event of all C-Dory gatherings. If you make the commitment to go on this trip you will likely enjoy the journey. There are many repeat folks at this event.

All are welcome, both new timers and old timers. More later on this but please hold your spot now if you want to go.

Sign us up!

You may remember we went with you on the Catalina Island trip a couple of years ago. At that time we had a C-Dory 22 named C-View. We now have a C-Dory 25 named C-View II.

I'd be glad to create a signup sheet for this event, but that poses at least a couple problems for the organizer:

- This event always fills up and has a waiting list, and we've no way to stop people from adding their names to the signup sheet once the maximum number of boats is reached.

- The signup sheet might have fewer than 10 folks on it, but the event could be full if people have contacted Jim directly.

If the above limitations are acceptable, let me know and I'll set it up. Otherwise, it might be best to simply keep an updated tally going in this thread.
 
Bill, I agree. No need for a sign up sheet. Just indicate on this thread if you are going and we will keep the tally. Bill, thanks for all that you do.
 
Alas, the MARCIA JANE will have to miss this great cruise this year! Marcia and I are already committed to another event and will have to enjoy the company and camaraderie of the California c-brats at the yearly gathering in Two Harbors on Catalina Island.

I have had another back surgery and it looks like this one is going to do the job. Marcia's Mom passed away a few months ago at age 94.

I encourage anyone that wants to have a "real adventure" to sign up for this cruise.

Whew, gotta be quick on this signup stuff...been doing honey-do's all day, this is my first chance to see that the dates have been set! Geez

Please sign me up, and every year thereafter...ha :-). My wife is sooooo hooked on this trip, and Alex too.

Eiko and I were looking forward to doing this trip again this year but she will be recovering from cataract surgery during this time. Hopefully next year she won't be doing her other eye!

oh woe is me--- stuck in Oregon working on a project that is understaffed and won't be able to take the time off.
For any others that are on the fence-- JUMP-- this is a great trip to take.
 
Wow! Another great turnout. That was fast.

We are now booked up for the 2015 Delta and Bay Extravaganza. We have 8 veterans and 2 new comers signed up for this event.

I am so happy Jim can read the future, it turns out that I will be able to attend the Extravaganza. If Eiko is still recovering from her surgery I will bring my brother-in-law Bernie on the trip. So thanks so much for getting me on the list, I had just walked in from a week long trip and almost missed the signup!

So looking forward to seeing all of you again, and thank you Pounder and everyone else involved in organizing this wonderful adventure.
