02/19 - 02/23 - Lake Mohave

I doubt that my California license is much good on Lake Mohave...but should I buy a Nevada or Arizona week license?

Or is it worth buying a license at all ??? and spend the week looking at rocks...etc.

I think I will take the inflatable so the dog and I can poke around the shoreline.

Be sure to bring a bathing suit -- there are some good hot springs in the upper part of the canyon. And -- Joel -- the rocks are great! (of course, we're a little biased).

Temperature may reach 70 at the Gathering -- according to local tv. Delightful here now.

Boats with more than 65hp not allowed above Willow Beach at the far north of the lake, but if you have two outboards, raise one and as long as there is less than 65 hp in the water, it's ok. Another argument for having tow engines?? Hmmm.

Water crystal clear, and water level is good since Davis Dam is a run-of-the-river dam and not (much) used for flood control.

7 boats in attendance at Lake Mohave. Once again, we were glad to have Bill & El with us as we cruised the lake. I just love to hear about the Geography of the area- and Bill was kind enough to give us a running commentary as we traveled up-river.
The weather was cool, wet and windy- you woulda thought we were in the great NorthWest.
Roy (Water Lillie) supplied the Rib Eye for the BBQ at Cottonwood Cove-- Thank you Roy!!
We stopped by and picked up Sue (SEA3PO) and took her to the lake with us, so Joel could have his "Honey" with him on the lake.
