01/31 - 02/02 - Seattle Boat Show

We just booked two nights at the Silver Cloud Stadium location down by the show. They did not have any block of rooms reserved so we just booked a double queen room for $145 per night which was the boat show rate.

I will be staying at the Silver Cloud from 1/27 leaving 2/1, 5 days. How do I get from the Seattle airport to the hotel by rail? Any special problems doing that? Looking forward to seeing everyone.

If you're staying at the Silver Cloud right at the stadium. It's really easy to get there from Seatac airport. Catch the train at the airport and get off at the Stadium Station. Walk W from there to the Silver Cloud Inn (it's maybe a 1/4 mile walk). See this link for more info on the light rail system. I think the cost is around $2.75 to get from the airport to the stadium.

We booked a room at the Silver Cloud for Friday and Saturday.

Oddly enough, the website for the Silver Cloud Hotel only showed the double queen size bed room still available @ $145 (or a much more expensive suite for ~ $205 ); however, phoning the desk I was indeed still able to reserve the also listed less expensive $135 King size bed room.

Anyway, looking forward to seeing everybody there!

Take care,

Just following up.

Did people still want to get together for a potluck at the Inn at the Market (downtown) on Saturday February 1st?

Yes. I will put up a thread shortly to get a head count on both this and the brewery trip. Also, I canceled my planned half marathon run on the Saturday so I can be around for the entire CBGT.

oh there are some good fishing classes. I just printed off the list and will review it. I have seen some of not most of these guys before. I see a few new classes on the list. I plan to spend so time in some classes. I will post of list of the ones I plan to see.

I'm planning to be at the show on Sunday (Jan 25) for sure.

I'll ask Julia about the Snoqualmie Falls Brewery event on Friday (Jan 31) as well; I'd like to hear about Sam's circumnavigation of Vancouver Island.

The Inn At The Market potluck (Feb 1) might be a budget-friendlier option for bringing the whole family (including walking-but-not-yet-talking Tristan).

Looks like Laurie and I will be joining many of you at the Siver Cloud on Friday the 31st through Sunday! It's been about six years since we last did a Cbrat and boat show trip, last time we were given "C Dory Inspector" badges at the factory tour/ potluck- we were then C Dory-less, simply interested in the boat. It was great fun. We look forward to making some new friends, joining you folks for some of the activities and of course checking out all cool stuff at the show. The pub gathering sounds about perfect for me :beer see ya then!

Refresh on the soiree at the Snoqualmie Taproom on Friday, January 31st! We are going for pretty much a re-run of last year's buffet, which got a lot of positive feedback, and it will be $15 a head again! We also will have a mic and PA for Sam's talk. Going to be fun![ I think Roger and Tom are providing transportation again.

Hi,
I will be coming to the Seattle Boat Show with a friend, maybe crew, and will be staying Saturday night at the Silver Cloud.

It's been years since I've been to a Sea Brat event. The last time I saw Kingfisher was in September 2011, four months before Darlene, my wife passed away. I plan on checking the boat out on Monday after the boat show; it's in Anacortes.

I'm looking forward to being with all of you.
Bob

Good day sir.

Sorry to hear (albeit long after the fact) of your wife's passing Bob. Glad you will be rejoining a CBGT and hope to meet you somewhere along the way.

The Silver Cloud is incredibly convenient to the SBS (right across the street!); however, one downside as compared to the former hotel (which was far less convenient, further away, and much older), is that we do not have a C-Brat's group gathering place in the hotel.

Therefore, if at all possible (although we will not be making it this year since I work too late on Friday), to meet as many C-Brats in one location as possible please consider joining many of the group on Friday evening at the Snoqualmie Taproom. You will see details of that event earlier in this thread.

Also, please consider getting together w/ others on Saturday evening at the Inn at the Market 'potluck'.

Both the Taproom and the Inn at the Market potluck are outside the hotel but would be very worthwhile if possible.

Welcome back and glad you will be joining us either way Bob!

Regards,
Dan, Tanya, and Hannah on C-Renity
